EWin Racing Champion Series Gaming Chair Review

ewin champion cpaa

As i type these lines the market is literally filled with countless gaming chair models promising not only increased comfort and back/neck support but also more “aggressive” looks compared to your old desk/office chair. For good or bad there are three types of companies right now in the market that offer gaming chairs, OEM manufacturers who make chairs for other brands (according to their specs and design), OEM manufacturers that make chairs both for other brands but also for their very own and premium gaming chair manufacturers who build and sell their own models. There’s some debate as to which company has the best models available in the market today but the reality of the matter is that there are so many variables that there’s simply no straight up answer to that. EWin Racing started off as an OEM manufacturer making chairs for other brands but they recently started selling their very own models and after the surprisingly good Flash XL Gaming Chair aimed at large people today we’re taking a look at the more “mainstream” Champion model.
EWinRacing Chair was newly founded in 2016 after being a leader OEM office chair manufacturer. With the development in design and research, we strive for a professionalization in gaming chair field. Even more in order to bring you a healthier and relaxing environment we will continuously pursue humanism in design and manufacturing ergonomic gaming chairs. What’s more our strict quality inspection process and standard ensures you a better chair for better life. Visit https://www.ewinracing.com/ for more information on our products.
The Champion Gaming Chair may just be a more “common” model compared to the larger and more padded Flash XL model but that doesn’t mean it has much to be jealous of it in terms of features and specifications. Just like the Flash XL the Champion CPA model is dressed in synthetic PU leather and features a reinforced steel frame (15mm in thickness), class-4 gaslift (150Kg total weight support with the upper chair), 4 directional adjustable armrests (height/position/orientation), removable head and lumbar pillows, backrest adjustment (up to 155 degrees) and the typical tilt/rocking (up to 12 degrees) and height adjustment function (via a butterfly height adjustment mechanism) we find with most desk chairs. Since the Champion Gaming Chair however is not designed for larger people like the Flash XL it comes with a slightly reduced foam density of up to 55Kg/M3 and smaller 50mm nylon caster wheels.

The Champion Gaming Chair gets shipped inside a regular cardboard box that just has the manufacturer name on its sides.

EWin Racing has used several pieces of cardboard, foam and bubble wrap to secure the entire bundle.

Inside the box you will find the 5-star base, backrest with both support pillows mounted, seat with both 4D armrests attached, butterfly mechanism, class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover, side plastic covers, 3 plastic taps, 5 caster wheels, two Allen keys, pair of fabric gloves, 3 Allen screws and the mounting instructions.

ewin champion cpa 8t

You may want to follow the instructions down to the letter and start from the seat but we always start by mounting the wheels onto the base as seen above.

50mm wheels are just too small for my taste but at the same time i find that they don’t seem to hit on things as much.

After mounting the wheels we mount the class-4 gaslift with its plastic cover on the 5-star base.

Much like the Flash XL the seat of the Champion Series has a total of three green elastic bands for increased support.

Once again each 4D armrest is attached to the seat with no less than 4 Allen screws.

Mounting the butterfly mechanism onto the base requires a total of 4 Allen screws as seen above.

Mounting the backrest onto the seat requires using two Allen screws on each side (a small opening is placed between the two Allen screws).

After that you will need to place the plastic covers and the screw taps again as seen above.

With the upper body of the Champion Gaming Chair complete all that’s left is to place it onto the class-4 gas lift.

ewin champion cpa 20t

The Champion Series Gaming Chair may not be as padded as the Flash XL (quite visible) but it looks just as good.

The company logo is placed on the head of the chair and both support pillows.

The PU leather used is almost identical to that of the Flash XL and again although it may not be of the same quality as the one used in the X-Comfort by Thermaltake or with the one of the Vernazza WOT by Arozzi still it’s very good.

The armrests can be height adjusted from 29cm all the way up to 36.5cm.

Just like all 4D armrests the top can move forward, backwards, left, right and even diagonally to suit your style.

This is what the rear of the Champion Series looks like (once again EWin Racing has used a neck support pillow that secures with a clip).

Although the backrest doesn’t fall all the way (180 degrees) still it does fall up to 155 degrees and thus allows the user to get some rest if needed.

score

Many of you recommended (including some manufacturers) that we place a chart pointing to the pros and cons of each gaming chair we test. Now of course since there’s really no way for us to “benchmark” gaming chairs we decided to rate them based on their size, comfort and quality. Size and comfort usually go hand to hand (the larger the chair the more comfortable it usually is – also depends on the amount of padding) while in terms of quality having tested 16 models currently we think we have a good idea about that as well. Of course these scores are based on our personal opinions regarding each chair so do take them with a grain of salt.

ewin champion cpab

The Flash XL Series Gaming Chair by EWin Gaming may not be the best in the market but it’s somewhat unique not only because it feature superior foam padding/density compared to many other gaming chairs but also because its size which makes it ideal for larger people even up to 2 meters tall. The Champion Series on the other hand lacks that “something” needed to make it stand out from the rest of the crowd. In terms of build quality it does quite good and the same can be said for its comfort levels. Still the small 50mm wheels don’t do it justice and as we always do point out the butterfly height/tilt/rocking mechanism is not nearly as robust as the Z-support one we find with other models so I do hope EWin Racing starts using it as well. The large surprise came from the very large removable lumbar support pillow and the 4D armrests since at that price range we usually see small pillows and only height adjustable hand rests or 3D adjustable ones so kudos to EWin Racing for that.
Price is what makes and also what breaks some products and in this specific segment EWin Racing does extremely well since you can currently grab a Champion Series Gaming Chair for just USD237 directly from their online store (by using our NikK voucher) a price tag which can’t be easily beat by other manufacturers. Had EWin Racing asked for over USD300 for the Champion Series we would had probably not recommend it to our readers since we do feel that there are models out there that offer more both in terms of quality and features. However at such a price it would be too much not to recommend it to gamers and consumers in general looking for a great bargain.

PROS

– Good Build Quality (PU Faux Leather / Steel Frame)
– Available PU Leather Designs & Color Combinations
– Comfortable
– Features (Adjustable Backrest / 4D Adjustable Armrests)
– Removable Neck and Lumbar Pillows
– Price
CONS

– Small Wheels
– Butterfly Mechanism (Not As Robust As The Z-Support Model)

Ewin Racing Champion Gaming Chair

Over the last decade or so we’ve seen a large influx of gaming chairs. I can’t recall which company introduced the concept but in recent years a lot of newcomers entered the market as entrepreneurs realized there’s a big market for gaming chairs.

Computer gaming is a hot growth market and a lot of gamers want to pay premium prices for products that provide a custom touch to their gaming space. A week ago, research firm GfK released a report that revealed desktop gaming PCs, as well as PC gaming accessory sales, are growing at impressive mid-double digit rates.

These days nobody wants a beige box under or on his/her desk, so computer enthusiasts and gamers spend a lot of money on fancy cases and case modding products. Gaming chairs are a product that fits well with this audience, every desktop PC gamer needs a chair so the target market for companies that can convince gamers to spend a bit more on a chair is massive.

The subject of this review is the Champion gaming chair from Ewin Racing. It’s one of the lesser known gaming chair brands but the company behind Ewin Racing is not a newcomer in the chair market. The firm’s website explains the Ewin Racing was founded in 2016 and that the company has a long history as a manufacturer of car seats and OEM office chairs.

The exact EwinRacing gaming chair model I’m testing today is the Champion CP-BC3A, a black chair with some blue highlights. Ewin Racing offers the Champion series in three variants in Europe; CPA, CPB and CPC. All three versions are almost identical, the only difference is the design of the fabric of the seat and the backrest. Besides the three different designs, you can also choose between a couple of color options including black/white, black/red, and black/blue. The company’s US webshop, on the other hand, offers four different seat designs as well as a lot more color combinations.

At the moment of this review, Ewin Racing is selling the chair for 259EUR ($279) but with the coupon code “DVH” you can get an extra 15% off!

Ewin Racing Box
Ewin Racing’s Champion is the largest review product ever in the DV Hardware office. It ships in a very large cardboard box that weighs over 20kg. The tiles in the photo above measure 600mm x 600mm so that gives you some perspective about how large the box is. When you take it inside you have to lug around a heavy weight that is hard to handle due to the bulky size of the box. I think some cut-out handles would help to make handling the box less of a nuisance. It’s thick cardboard and everything inside is well-packed to prevent shipping damage.

As with most office chairs, you need to assemble the product yourself. It’s a pretty easy process and you can probably do it in 10-15 minutes tops. In the past, I would have shot a lot of photos of the unboxing and assembly process but to celebrate the 15th anniversary of DV Hardware we’re introducing video reviews. Check out our clip below, the first part includes the unboxing and the chair’s assembly.

Ewin Racing Champion chair frontal
The chair weighs about 20.4kg and has a high back rest. My initial impression of the Champion chair is very good, its heavy weight indicates Ewin Racing didn’t skimp on materials and when you take your first seat you’ll notice this chair uses very firm, high-density foam. I’ve worn out several office chairs in my life but none of them felt as qualitative as the Champion. Most of the mass-market office chairs that cost just half (or perhaps even a quarter) as much as the Champion have a much lower build quality. When you deconstruct a typical office chair you’ll typically see they consist of flakeboard or plywood panels with a couple of layers of low-density foam pads.

gaming chair like the Champion is very different, this chair features a 16mm steel tube frame with a thickness of 1.5mm and has molded memory foam with a density of 55kg/m³.

Ewin Racing Champion chair foam and frame
The Ewin Racing gaming chairs have a race chair like look and feel. The top of the chair as well as the two removable cushions feature Ewin branding. One gripe I have about the cushions is that the head cushion is very small. It provides some support for the back of your neck but it’s too small to be really useful.

Ewin Racing Champion chair cushions
The lumbar pillow is a lot larger and uses very firm foam. The position of the cushion is adjustable or you can also remove it entirely.

Ewin Racing Champion chair cushions
Gaming chairs like the Champion offer a high degree of customization. Typical office chairs let you adjust the chair height and the better variants let you tilt backward. The Champion has all of those features and more. It has a recline lever that lets you adjust the backrest’s angle from 88 to 155 degrees. When you need a moment to relax, or when you want to watch the latest Game of Thrones, you can just pull the lever and relax. Furthermore, the Champion also includes 4D adjustable armrests. More about those later.

Ewin Racing Champion chair side
The next photo shows the quality finish of the back. It also shows the release buckles of the two pillows.

Ewin Racing Champion chair back
The chair is cladded with 1.2mm PU leather, this is a cheaper fabric than real leather and it has a nice uniform looking finish. There are some gaming chairs from other vendors that use real leather but those are a lot more expensive. The fabric is one of the more vulnerable parts of a chair, as soon as there’s a big rip it’s embarrassing to continue to use it even if the rest of the chair is still perfectly OK. As I’ve only been using this chair for three weeks I can’t comment on the long-term durability, at the moment it still looks as good as new.

Ewin Racing Champion chair PU leather
The chair is supported by a sturdy five-star aluminium base.

Ewin Racing Champion base
The base has five heavy-duty 2″ caster wheels made from polyurethane, they roll very smoothly.

Ewin Racing Champion chair wheels
The next photo shows the two levers that are found on the right side of the chair. The big one lets you adjust the height of the seat while the smaller lever lets you operate the back recliner. The tilt tension can be adjusted via a big knob at the bottom of the seat and the big lever also lets you lock the chair in the neutral position. One small gripe I have about the chair’s height adjustment is that it doesn’t go low enough. My height is 175cm and I feel the minimum height will probably be a bit too high for people that are a lot smaller than me.

Ewin Racing Champion chair levers
The 4D adjustable armrests are the key selling point of the Champion series versus Ewin Racing’s cheaper Calling series. One thing that surprised me is that they’re made from high-elasticity PU. On photos it looks like the top of the armrest is made of hard plastic but it’s actually a firm yet soft to touch surface.
Cheaper chairs usually fix the armrests to the seat and the backrest. This gaming chair on the other hand mounts the armrests to the bottom of the seat via an 8mm thick steel plate. The armrests are adjustable in four dimensions, on the photo below you can see the lever that’s used to adjust the height of the arm rests.

Ewin Racing Champion chair 4D armrests
You can rotate the armrests one step clockwise and one step counterclockwise. This is the feature I found the least useful about this chair, I never feel the need to rotate the armrests and I think this feature makes the armrests feel less qualitative as they don’t fully lock into place. The armrests always rock a bit back and forth when you grab them.

Ewin Racing Champion chair 4D armrests
The final two features of the armrests involve sliding. You can move them forward and you can also move them closer together. Sliding to the front and back is done by pushing and holding the small circular knob. The rectangle knob works in a similar way, you press and hold it to slightly adjust the horizontal position of the armrests.

Ewin Racing Champion chair 4D armrests
Conclusion
After using the Ewin Racing Champion gaming chair for a couple of weeks I’m very impressed. This product is a nice step up in quality versus traditional office chairs and offers a wide range of seat and armrest adjustments. Its overall build quality is good and the chair offers high-density memory foam that remains quite firm and comfortable. Whether you’re planning to use it for gaming, office work, or watching movies at night, this chair will not disappoint.

Don’t forget to use the coupon code “DVH” to get an extra 15% off when you order a gaming chair from Ewin Racing. Our coupon code lowers the price of the Champions series to 220EUR ($237) and you also get free shipping.

E-Win Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair

If you are in the market for a gaming chair, then you are in the right place. The E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is the best choice currently on the market. This gaming chair sets itself apart from the competition in many ways. By the end of this review, you will not believe how you survived without this chair for so long.

Comfortable

As a gamer, you will find yourself sitting behind the screen for multiple hours at a time. So, why not make yourself comfortable. This is the main reason that people see themselves buying a gaming chair. The EwinRacing Gaming Chair takes comfort to a whole new level; the entire chair is coated with a high-density memory foam. After sitting down in this chair for the first time, I found myself melting into it as it formed around my body. Even though this seat was incredibly soft, it was also firm giving the much-needed support that your body needs.

Adjustable

I have been using a gaming chair for a while now, and the thing that most impressed me about E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair was how adjustable it was. It absolutely blew my mind. Most other gaming chairs that I have sat in have the 4D adjustable armrests (up and down, left and right, a swivel motion, and back and forth) just like this one does. However, the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair sets itself apart by having up to a 155 decline angle. If you are not good with angles, that is almost an entirely flat recline. While testing out this chair, I found it considerably relaxing just to lean the chair back and look up at the ceiling when taking a break or waiting for a match to start.

Structure

The way that the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is able to completely recline the way that it does it through the incredible support frame that the chair is molded around. The structure of the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is made out of a durable high-grade steel frame. This arrangement is capable of holding a weight of 330lbs in the reclined position which is no easy task. The one downfall of having such a sturdy framework is that it adds to the weight of the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair making it slightly more substantial than I anticipated. Though, I will admit, other gaming chairs that have not been as durable as this one have only been somewhat lighter in comparison.

Customizable

If you are looking to get rid of your basic black desk chair, then you will be happy to find out that the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is available in many different leather combinations. I personally am a fan of how the red and black chair looks, but if you are not, there are many various color combinations that you can piece together. The E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair also gives you the ability to remove both the lumbar cushion as well as the neck cushion if you do not like how they feel. I tested this chair with both the cushions on and off, and though I preferred having them on the chair when they were removed, the chair was still very comfortable.

Price

If you have seen the price of gaming chairs before, then you might be afraid that buying a gaming chair is something that is just out of your price range. This may have prevented you in the past, but the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair sets itself apart from other gaming chairs yet again with only a $350 price point. Even better than that, the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is currently on sale for just $279. This is a significant drop in price compared to other gaming chairs at $400, $500, or even over $1000 for a similar quality chair to that of the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair.

Cons

There was one thing that I did not like about the E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair that I feel wouldn’t be fair to you if I did not mention. The one issue that I had with this chair involved the wheelbase. The wheels were smaller than I usually like, making it a bit difficult to roll over objects that you may find on the floor such as a cord. This is easy to get around, however, by just keeping your floor clean and making sure any cables or wires are tucked away. This is mainly only an issue for me due to my kids sometimes leaving Legos or other small toys around.

Summary

The E-Win Europe Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair is the best gaming chair that you will find within the current market for the price. It not only supplies you with the much-needed comfort that you are looking for, but it is also highly adjustable giving you the ability to find the perfect sitting position for you. The structure of this chair makes it a bit heavier than a standard desk chair, but that added support gives this chair the ability to last you for many years to come. Where the chair was very customizable, the wheel size was something that I found could have been improved. Use the coupon code gamerbolt for 15% off your purchase!

EWIN HERO SERIES GAMING OFFICE CHAIR REVIEW

As a gamer, there’s nothing more important than comfort, especially if you’re a streamer. Streamers are sitting down for long periods at a time, and with a bad chair, that could mean lower back strain and discomfort. So, I can’t stress how important it is to invest in a gaming chair that’s going to keep you comfortable.ewinracing hero gaming chair review

Enter the EWin Hero Series Ergonomic Computer Gaming Chair, a chair that’s built with those long play sessions in mind. It starts with a strong durable steel frame that serves as the chair’s structural groundwork. On that frame, E-Win added a super thick layer of cold molding high-density memory foam that adds the comfort. The final touch is the addition of the PU leather that covers the chair, adding the final layer of style as to not make the chair a visual eyesore. The final result is an impressive-looking gaming chair that’s comfortable as well.

There are three colorways available: red, a cool blue, and lime green.

The chair comes well-packaged, and it’s safely packed in foam and wrapped in plastic to protect it during shipping. If you’re ever put together any office chair, putting together the EWin Hero Series chair shouldn’t be challenging, as it’s the same process. First, snap the wheels into the five-star base. Then, put the hydraulic unit into the base and add the plastic cover over it. Once the hydraulic unit and its cover are in place, you can attach the back of the chair to the chair’s seat (simply remove the four bolts, line up the holes, and screw the four bolts back in). Of course, it uses hex screws (and yes, the hex driver you’ll need is included in the box).

Once the back and seat are together, flip the chair over and attach the control unit by first removing the four bolts then lining up the holes and screwing those bolts back in. Once it’s attached, you simply turn the chair over and put it onto the hydraulic unit. Boom, your chair is together. The process took a total of 15-minutes for us to complete.

As far as the chair’s features, you’ll find a lot of small touches that make this one of the better chairs on the market for its price range. First, it has adjustable armrests, so you can set them to the height best suited for your own personal comfort. All too often, chair manufacturers overlook the fact that not everyone sitting in the chair is the same height, so their arms aren’t necessarily going to be most comfortable with a default one-size-fits-all height. What’s more, the armrests are made out of soft PVC with some padding and not just hard plastic as you’d find in some other chairs.

Secondly, the Hero Series features a reclining back, allowing you sit back and relax if you’re watching a movie or something a little less involved than playing a competitive game. It reclines in the same way a normal car seat would recline, with a side lever that you pull up until you’ve found the angle you’re looking for.

In the comfort area, this chair leaves little if anything to be desired. The padding is soft enough to be comfortable but hard enough to give you support and structure. It’s clear that building an exoskeleton of sorts and adding padding over it is the way to go. Thanks to the added adjustable head and lower back pillows (that you can also remove entirely if you’d prefer, by the way), it’s harder to find an uncomfortable position than it is to find a comfortable one.

My only gripe with this chair is a small one, and it’s that the wheels don’t work as well as they should. They don’t fully spin in every direction as you’d expect, and at times, it feels as though you’re dragging one of the five wheels in a direction it isn’t supposed to go in. It’s not something that’s always occurring, though, and you just have to catch the wheel facing the wrong direction for the way you’re moving for it to be an annoyance.

The EwinRacing gaming chair might feel a bit pricey for some, coming in at $359 at the time of writing this. But, in reality, it’s not much more than a high-end office chair you’d find at, say, Staples or Best Buy, and it’s packed with features. If you’re looking for the perfect cross between comfort and style, the Hero Series Gaming Chair is a great choice.

EWin Champion Series Gaming Chair Review: Sturdy, Comfy, and Sleek (Oh My!)

The Champion gaming chair from EWin boasts a sturdy design with maximized comfort for your marathon gaming sessions.

I’ve never owned a nice office chair. In the many, many years that I’ve spent hunched over my desk, grinding MMO dungeons and carrying teams in MOBA matches, I’ve only ever used sub-par chairs that offer the bare minimum in terms of comfort. And in the last few weeks, my current desk chair has finally started showing signs of its mortality — mostly by swiveling as far left as possible any time I don’t plant my feet firmly on the floor.

Needless to say, getting my hands on an actual gaming chair meant for long-term comfort was long overdue. Enter the Champion Series gaming chair from EWin — an ergonomic office-style chair that’s made with marathon gamers in mind.

EWin’s designs echo the familiar aesthetic of brands like DXRacer, which you’ll see behind nearly every streamer on Twitch. But does it offer the same level of quality? From what I can tell, absolutely. I can’t speak for the other chairs in the EWin line, but the Champion series is a solid chair that’s not too costly, and offers lots of functionality to help you maximize your comfort.

Unboxing and Assembly

The EWin Champion does require some assembly out of the box to get the base, seat, arm rests, and cushions into a single unit. You can pay about $83 to have it done for you, but putting this thing together was so easy that it renders “professional assembly” totally unnecessary. It took me and another person about 10 minutes to get it in working order.

Some of the instructions along the way were a little confusing, though. It seems like they were tailored for a model that was slightly different than the one I had, and some parts didn’t quite go together the way those instructions said they should. Once we got that figured out, though, the rest of the assembly was quick and painless.

Because of how easy it was to put together, I was a little concerned that the chair might not be structurally sound without a ton of intricate mechanisms to hold it together. But so far, it’s held up just fine.

Look and Feel

Overall, this is a pretty sleek chair. The faux leather covering feels nice to the touch and is super easy to keep clean — so you can snack between matches or eat lunch at your desk without worrying about stains or sticky fabric.

Its patterns are a good fit for the racing aesthetic, and the colors are about as vibrant as you’d want them to be. The GameSkinny green accents on my model pop nicely against the solid black body. And though they’re not the main attraction, the armrests are sturdy and nicely textured as well.

Although it’s not the household name of gaming chairs, EWin obviously paid close attention to the quality of its product. Even the stitching is clean, tight, and discreet. You’d have to do some serious damage to this thing before it started showing any signs of wear.

Use and Customization

So it’s easy to assemble and it looks nice. That’s great and all, but does the EWin Champion have the functionality to back up its sleek design? Definitely.

You can adjust this chair in a number of ways to suit your needs, whatever they are. You can adjust the height like a standard office chair, but you can also tweak a number of other structural aspects to maximize the comfort and support you get from this seat.

Its back cushion slides up and down so you can position it wherever you most need lumbar support. This is a huge boon for people who struggle with chronic back pains — especially in situations where the lower back needs far more support than usual. I would have liked to see the same range of motion with the head pillow, but that part still fit my posture nicely, so I can’t complain about it too much.

You can also adjust the reclining angle of the chair so that you’re sitting slightly back, slightly forward, or in whatever position is most comfortable for you. Or you can do what I did, and lean it all the way back to stare at the ceiling between your SMITE games and wonder why the hell the matchmaking gods have condemned you to playing with filthy casuals forever. Either way, making the adjustment is a quick (and very quiet) lever pull away. Your insides might be hardening into pure salt, but at least you’re comfortable.

Of all the customization options, though, I found myself more impressed with the arm rests than anything else. You can move them in just about any direction you desire. Slide them forward or back so they sit where your elbows naturally rest. Move them up or down to suit the height of your desk and keyboard. Push them inward or outward to make a wider or narrower base that your arms can rest on. You can even angle the armrests in or leave them parallel to each other. No matter what configuration will be most comfortable for you, you’ve got the option to do it with EWin’s Champion gaming chair.

Comfort Level: Maximum

With so many options packed into one chair, the real question is this: Is it comfortable? Can it keep your body feeling supported even during long gaming marathons?

After spending a week of 8-hour work days in this chair, I’d have to say that it can.

I’ve got lower back issues so bad that I’ve had multiple surgeries trying to fix the problem. So proper support is paramount — and I’d be the first to notice if something wasn’t up to snuff. But where most office chairs hurt my spine in one way or another, I could spend loads of time in the EWin Champion without feeling any sort of pain.

I knew this chair was doing something right when the uncomfortable popping that usually happens in my lower back after being seated for long periods of time started to dissipate the more I sat in it. It wasn’t curing my back problems, of course, but it offered enough support to significantly help the posture issues that cause the popping in the first place.

If you’re a sloucher, you might experience a fair amount of discomfort at first, as this chair is definitely not one that you can hunch over in. And it took me some time to stop doing so myself — especially during really intense dungeon runs. But the extra support and the lumbar cushion made it much easier to pull myself upright and find comfort in a position that didn’t make me look like Gollum.

The TL;DR here is that EWin’s Champion chair offers long-lasting comfort — once you find the position that’s right for you. And as a bonus, it’s got excellent rolling capabilities to boot! With a wireless headset and relatively smooth floors, I could wheel across the room fast enough to make it back before my death timer was up.

The One and Only Caveat

Personally, I’ve had a great experience with this gaming chair. But I want to note that if you don’t take the time to really play around with it and try every configuration for the armests, lumbar cushions, recline angle, and so on, it’s very easy to have a terrible time with it.

The first few configurations I tried felt great at first, but ended up putting terrible pressure on my hips and somehow making my knees ache. I had to tweak lots of things time and time again until I finally found that sweet spot that let me sit for hours at a time without feeling arthritic.

It’s also worth mentioning that while this is a fairly roomy chair — one that I had enough room to pull my knees up into and cry over lost qualifying games in ranked — it may not be very well suited to heavier-set people. Even for someone hobbit-sized like me, the chair is quite narrow when you take the raised sides of the seats into consideration. So that’s something to be aware of.

Verdict

EWin may not be the name you think of when you think of gaming chairs, but it should definitely be one of them. The Champion model is a fantastically built seat that will offer you hours of comfort in a durable package. It looks nice, feels even better, and is fully customizable to give you the best seating experience possible. If you need something to help you sit tight through hours of gaming — or all the time you spend on that 9-5 work grind — this is definitely one you’ll want to consider.

The EWin Champion is retails for $279 on Amazon. But if you check out the official EWin store page for it, you can use the code “GS” to get 15% off your order. This chair is well worth diving into your pockets for.

EwinRacing Calling Series Gaming Chair Review

I’m not a young gamer anymore. What does this mean? Well, among other things, it means that lower back pain, middle back pain, upper back pain – all of them are no strangers to me. That’s what happens when you spend several hours each day in a chair playing computer games and writing about that. In a crappy chair, I might add.

Boy, if only I would’ve known about the EwinRacing gaming chair before! I’m sure that my back would’ve felt a lot better. I would’ve killed countless more enemies because of a better posture, because I would’ve felt so much more comfortable. But at least I’m righting the wrongs now – better late than never.

Because, yes, I now am the proud owner of a professionally made gaming chair: the Ewin Calling Series Ergonomic Computer Gaming Office Chair with Pillows. A long name, but it’s worth memorizing it, because it’s the name of quality and comfort. And today I’m going to share with you my EwinRacing Calling Series gaming chair review.

Assembly

I’ll be very honest with you: I’m not extremely skilled when it comes to manual labor. I can craft the most amazing structures in my games and I’ve built a base in Fallout 4 that the entire Wasteland envies. But when it comes to using tools and building stuff in real life, I am completely clueless.

When I saw the pile of stuff that was supposed to be me gaming chair, I was scared. I was sure that I’ll do something terribly wrong and I will destroy an otherwise great product. But I had no choice. I had to put on my armor (a pair of white gloves, in this case – included in the chair’s package) and get to work!

Assembling the Ewin Racing Calling Series gaming chair proved to be extremely easy, fortunately. Maybe I got a boost in skill from the magical gloves or maybe it was the extremely helpful instructions manual that took me through all the steps clearly, but I managed to do it! That pile of scary materials quickly turned into a chair.

It took me at most 30 minutes to completely assemble the Ewin gaming chair and I am sure that gamers of a slightly higher level than mine will be able to cruise through this stage in 15 minutes tops. But I was satisfied with my half an hour as well, especially since the final product looked soooo good!

Design and goodies

If you are like me and rested your buns on crappy chairs during your entire life, you’ll be thrilled to look at the Ewin Racing Calling Series gaming chair. It’s enough to just look at it and you’ll understand how comfortable it is. And there are multiple color options if you don’t like the sober, black & gray touches I went with.

It’s built of faux leather which still looks very durable and is extremely comfortable and smooth to the touch. It’s heavy and sturdy, meaning that it will hold you in place even during the most intense on-screen battles.

It comes with two pillows – which I consider the cherry on top, the frosting on the cake: one for better lumbar support and a headrest, which are a must if you’re spending hours on a chair, working or playing games. Trust me – you might not feel the pain now that you’re young, but as years will pass by, it will get more and more difficult.

The pillows can be completely removed if you want to (but I wouldn’t recommend that) and you can easily adjust their height. The upper pillow is giving me a bit of trouble as it refuses to stay in one place and always seems to be lower than I’d like it to be, so it has to be adjusted regularly. Not a big problem, in the end and it’s definitely worth the few seconds when it comes to feeling so good.

But it’s not just the pillows that are built to help increase comfort. The steel frame itself (dressed in high density memory foam) is designed to mold around your body. This means that you’ll still feel comfortable even after hours of sitting on this chair. And to make things complete, the armrests can also be adjusted vertically.

Another nice feature is the chair’s option to recline all the way to 155 degrees. This is a very comfortable position for watching movies or whatever, taking a nap during those long raids or chilling with a controller in hand, if you really do that on your PC (since I wrote about console chair options otherwise!). I haven’t really used this much, but it’s good to know about it and I’ll sure put it to good use if the opportunity arises.

How does it feel?

I still remember the moment I sat down on this amazing gaming chair created by Ewin. My whole body instantly felt the difference and especially my lower back was shouting with joy.

The Ewin Calling Series gaming chair is extremely comfortable and a great deal for the price. Even at the end of the day, I still feel great and I am sure it will help improve my back pain over time. A great product selling at a great price. You really have no reasons to complain about it!

Final rating
Amazing!

E-Win Flash XL review – the chair for big gamers

E-Win Flash XL gaming chair  €349

PROS

  • Looks the business
  • Comfortable for long sessions
  • Adjustable lumbar support
  • Adjustability
  • Great for big and tall gamers

CONS

  • Neck pillow not in optimum position
  • Chair is pretty heavy

ewin flash xl gaming office chair with pillowsE-Win has sent me one of their rather lovely Flash XL gaming chairs. The XL suits those taller and/or wider gamers.

If you’re on the larger side of things, some of those cool-looking gaming chairs just aren’t going to cut it.

If you’re a little more leggy than the average, you might find the chair doesn’t go high enough.

Additionally, if you happen to be a bit more blessed in the hips or bum, these racing-style chairs just won’t accommodate your booty. That’s before we start talking about the arm rests.

So, how does the E-Win Flash XL handle larger gamers?

E-Win Flash XL design

Ewinracing Flash XL gaming chairThe E-Win Flash XL gaming chair is a heavy-duty seat with a large base. This has been designed for maximum room and comfort.

A chair for girthy gamers is going to be larger than a standard gaming chair. The Flash XL measures 22.4- x 23.6- x 48.4-inches.

It is covered in synthetic leather, mine being blue and black to match my gaming rig.

The seat is padded with high density memory foam

However, the arm rests are a soft-touch rubberised foam.

Ergonomics

You get 360-degree swivel, a 155-degree adjustable backrest. Height is adjustable from 9.4-inches to 13.4-inches). The chair also features 4D adjustable armrests.

The Flash XL will support gamers up to 330 lbs. That’s over 23 stones.

E-Win Flash XL performance

The Flash XL chair is designed for larger and taller gamers.

There is some construction required, but that shouldn’t put you off. Most of us these days will have tackled at least one piece of flat-pack furniture by now.

I managed to sling mine together in under 15 minutes – when I should have been packing for a holiday.

Assume the position

That 13.4 inches of lift is just the thing for longer legs. I’m not *that* tall at 6 foot 2-inches (1.88 metres) and at its highest setting I can’t touch the floor when sat in it.

Those with more junk in the trunk will be grateful of the wider 22.4-inch seat.

Needles to say, you don’t have to be XL in order to appreciate the extra room.

Flash XL recline adjustmentAs well as being able to spin around in the Flash XL, you are offered 155-degrees of recline by the adjustable backrest.

Flash XL tilt controlYou can also tilt back in the chair. The amount of allowed tilt is dialled in underneath the chair.

The Flash series also comes with “4D” adjustable armrests.

Flash XL arm rest adjustmentThis means that you are able to adjust the angle, the height, and the position of the armrests. Most of these are achieved by using the little hidden toggle switches.

Although, I couldn’t work out how to alter the armrest angle. No matter how hard I looked or which button I pressed, nothing seemed to work. Then, as usual, I looked at the instructions. All you need to do is add a little more force as you twist the top of the rest. Job done.

Getting your optimal settings should be easy. Especially as most things can be changed in little steps in order to get it just right.

Pillow fighter

ewinracing flash xl gaming chair pillowsThe Flash XL also comes with an optional lumbar backrest and a neck pillow. Both of these items are held in using belt straps.

The lumbar pillow can be raised and lowered on its strap. The neck pillow, however, is pretty much on or off.

Comfort

The Flash XL certainly appears to be a quality gaming chair.

This is no light-weight either. The chair is built around an all-metal framework.

Around the cold moulding, high density memory foam is wrapped PU leather. This is all bonded using heavy-duty stitching. The same quality stitching is even employed on the bits you can’t see too.

Once I got it all set up, the Flash XL is certainly a comfy seat to be in for long periods of time.

It has tons of room and the side-cushions give extra support. I have not realised just how great having a lumbar pillow is until now.

Granted, you can get lumbar pillows separately even if you don’t get one of these chairs. They are worth it.

Pain in the neck

ewin racing flash xl gaming chair reviewHowever, the neck pillow is not so great. It is comfortable, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not in the right position.

I am by no means the tallest person who will be using this chair and yet the neck pillow is at shoulder height on me. What I have to do when getting seated is slouch at first and then push the neck pillow up using my shoulders.

I suggest a similar solution as to what the lumbar support uses. Once in position, it is lovely.

The gas lift provides an impressive 13.4-inches of floor clearance, which is ideal for taller gamers. Alternatively, you can shrink all the way down to 9-inches.

Sticky buns

The pleather covering of the Flash XL worried me a little. The office chair I chose before this was a woven material for a reason. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer and having breathable material is a preferred option.

It does get a little warm in the seat but, overall, it does feel reasonably airy. The bonus of this material is that you can easily wipe away any spilled drinks.

E-Win Flash XL review conclusion

ewin_racing_flash_xlThe E-Win Flash XL is a very comfortable gaming chair for the gamer who demands extra room.

The neck pillow would benefit from some adjustment, but all the other options allows you to get the perfect settings.

Yes, the chair weighs a tonne (I constructed it downstairs and carried up in two halves) but that’s due to the quality materials used.

It feels that it will last and all that memory foam does make it an extremely comfortable place to play.

E-Win Racing ‘Calling’ Gaming Chair review: Your back’s new best friend

Whether you’re gaming, working from home or sitting in an office, you might find yourself spending a stupid amount of time in a chair at a desk.

JEZ CORDEN

I am one such person. Having previously worked in an office, and now working from home, I spend pretty much all of my time at my desk. I never really considered how important a chair could be, until I received the E-Win Racing ‘Calling’ gaming chair.

My back has never been happier.

There are dozens of chairs like it on the market, but E-Win’s is the first I’ve used that has both adjustable lumbar support for your lower back and a headrest. It’s this combination of features that make it an excellent chair, whether you’re planning to use it for long gaming sessions, office work, or just relaxing and watching TV.

The E-Win gaming chair is a self-assembled design and is built for durability and comfort. It’s adjustable in various ways, and costs around $329 (it’s currently on sale on Amazon for $229), though there are various models available.

How well does it work? Read on to find out.

See at Amazon               See at E-Win Racing

Features and comfort

  • Chair Size: 20 inches x 20 inches x 50.1 inches.
  • Materials: Metal frame, synthetic leather chair, foam cushions, and plastic armrests.
  • Adjustability: 360-degree swivel, 155-degree adjustable backrest, adjustable height, adjustable armrests.
  • Weight support: Supports up to 330 lbs.

I love the fact that the E-Win chair’s frame is made of metal. This is a chair that will last a long time, and you can really feel it from the five-point base all the way up to the frame of the seat itself, which is cushioned generously in textured synthetic leather with thick foam. If you’ve found yourself prone to breaking cheaper plastic chairs, this is just what the chiropractor ordered.

The chair has various standard office-seat-like features, including a gas lift that supports up to 330 pounds for adjustable height, with a standard lever for adjusting pressure. You can also adjust the tilt of the seat itself but also the backrest using a second side lever. The backrest supports several different angles, up to 155 degrees. You could potentially sleep in this chair.

The armrests are adjustable in height, which is a nice addition for supporting different gamers’ needs. But perhaps the best thing, my favorite thing, about it is the lumbar back support cushion.

The cushion is held in place with straps, and it can be slid up and down at will. I cannot possibly emphasize how much better it is to have this cushion in place, and I struggle to understand how I spent the last 10 years working at a desk without using one. Still, if it’s not your bag, it can also be removed entirely – a nice bonus if you were planning to recline further back in this chair. For seated configurations, it’s simply wonderful.

Quality and usability

Unlike some other chairs I’ve used, E-Win’s uses synthetic leather instead of fabric. PU leather is less prone to wear than fabric, and while it’s not as strong as genuine leather, it is significantly cheaper. The synth leather is also far easier to clean and wipe down than fabric-based chairs might be, and its general thickness really gives a strong impression of durability.

The stitching is tight, the levers are responsive and easy to use, and the wheels are reassuringly high in quality. Self-assembly is often quite a chore with these sorts of chairs, with screws and holes misaligning or with unclear instructions. But the manual was succinct and clear, and every joint and connection was surprisingly easy to make.

I honestly don’t have a single thing to complain about with this chair. Even the synth leather, which I expected to be clammy under hot conditions, has been surprisingly airy, even in baking 95-degree F AC-less summer heat in South Germany.

Could this chair be perfect? Quite possibly.

Final thoughts: Buy this chair!

As a dude who spends the majority of his time at a desk, finding a decent chair has always been a bit of a struggle for me. I’ve always opted to go low-end and pick up something for around $100, only to regret it a few weeks later as the damn thing fell apart or started hurting my back. I always just made do, but now that I work from home, it has become even more necessary for me to take something as basic as sitting more seriously.

That’s what the E-Win range seems to represent: serious sitting. Using high-quality materials, metal frames, and tons of adjustable features and complimentary neck and lumbar support, I feel like the price of $329 (before any sales) is incredibly reasonable. E-Win has made me take chairs a lot more seriously.

Pros:

  • Supremely comfortable.
  • Durable design, premium materials.
  • Solid metal frame.

Cons:

  • Some may find it a little pricy for a chair.

OUTSTANDING

4.5/5

If you’re in the market for something more comfortable for gaming or office work, you honestly need look no further. Buy this chair. You won’t regret it.
