I sit in my home office quite a bit as you might imagine. It’s where I do the Droid Life stuff, it’s where I play my video games, and it’s where I write, record, and stream my music happenings. My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the pink RGB gaming desk from EwinRacing We give the desk four thumbs and two kitten paws up. Their study space should of course be a place in the house where they can focus on schoolwork. But can’t that learning space also be really really fun?
Maybe I’m old, but I honestly didn’t know what RGB stood for until reviewing this desk. For anyone else a little lost RGB means red, blue and green LED’s. The lights on the side of these RGB gaming desks produce many different hues of light. It’s like having a little disco party at your desk! Are disco parties still a thing?
I love everything about this desk. It’s sturdy, well manufactured, and it even has a cupholder! The RGB lights are bright, fun, and have a variety of settings.
This RGB gaming desk also has an ergonomic incline, which according to their website “was design to improve arm and wrist alignment, which reduces injury from using a key-board and mouse for hours on end.” Personally I spend a lot of time at my desk, and I know my daughter has increased her desk time with all of this virtual learning. So that sounds like a pretty fantastic feature to me.

The only slightly negative thing I can think of about this specific RGB gaming desk are the assembly instructions. It should be noted that I at one point built office furniture for a living. I’ve also recently built more than eleventy billion pieces of furniture (some IKEA) for our new rental home.
So while I was able to figure them out, the instructions aren’t the best. The parts aren’t labeled, all the different sized bolts come in one package, and there were no instructions on how to set up the LED/RBG lights. If you get super stuck I made a little video specifically for the lights.

A few years ago I transitioned from using a standard desk/computer chair at work to a ‘gaming’ chair. I thought it made sense to use something that was not only designed for long-term use, but also for comfort since I spend most of my waking hours sitting at a computer desk. In my last job, some of my co-workers were actually jealous of my PC gaming chair because it held up so much better than the standard-issue computer chairs. A little over a month ago, I transitioned into a new position with a new company and given the environment we are all navigating with the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself setting up a long-term workspace at home. Part of that workspace was a new gaming chair from E-Win Racing.
The FLH-XL model gaming chair from E-Win Gaming is made with stain resistant 2.0 PU leather. It’s designed to be able to be cleaned repeatedly and not cause surface damage. This material also surpasses industry performance standard for strength abrasion, hydrolysis, and UV stability. The interior cushion is made with a cold-cure, high-density foam. It’s engineered to be 2 times heavier per cubic foot than regular foam. This means the foam is close to the same quality as memory foam. The arm rests are designed to rotate in/out, adjust front/back, lift up/down, and move sideways. The seat can also be adjusted by height and tilt. The chair is designed to provide an option for users to nap, too, with the adjustable backrest. The back can reach a reclining position of 155º. Because this chair is graded as “XL” it can hold weight up to 550 lbs and has a 22-inch seat base.
The Flash XL Series (FLH-XL) Ergonomic Computer/Gaming/Office Chair is essentially the upgrade to the Flash XL Series (FLC) model, which we reviewed in 2018. The two chairs are made with the same premium materials, but the seats are designed differently. With the FLC model, the seat is 23.6 inches wide, but only 16.5 inches of that is actually ‘seat’. The rest of it is sides to the seat. With the FLH-XL model, the seat is flat across the base. Therefore, the entire 22-inch seat is available for someone to sit on. For me, this was a big improvement over the FLC model. I really did not like the raised sides on that version of the chair because I felt constrained.
Assembly of the chair wasn’t difficult although the instructions could have been a little more clear. It seemed as though the instructions were generic in nature and not written specifically for this gaming chair. One of the things I like about this chair assembly is that most of the bolts are pre-installed. You have to remove them to use them, but it ensures that you don’t mix up screws during the process. The first set of steps has you attaching the back to the seat. You do this by removing the aforementioned screws from the back and then screwing them back through the metal bracket from the seat.
Once the back is attached to the seat, you will then place the plastic cover over the metal bracket. I have to admit that when I first went to install this piece, I didn’t look at the parts closely enough and didn’t notice they were different — but they are. The instructions aren’t particularly clear about which one goes on which side, but when you look at them and the differences in the sides of the chair, you will be able to tell. Once those plastic guards are in place, you turn your attention to the base. You will remove the bolts from the bottom of the chair (only the four in the center and not the ones that hold the arms in place) and then use them to attach the adjustment assembly.
Finally, you will push the wheels into the 5-star base. This base is all metal (with the exception of the actual wheels) and I can speak from experience when I say that it can withstand a lot of use. It’s very sturdy. I do wish the wheels were larger. I am actually currently using the chair on the carpet and surprisingly enough, the chair moves quite well (better than my previous chair) and the carpet is not getting torn up. Once the wheels are all snapped into place on the base, you will flip the base over and put the hydraulic cylinder into the center and then the plastic sleeve on top of it. Last, but not least, you will lift the back/seat assembly onto the base, and then the chair is ready to go.
I really liked the previous version of this chair with the exception of the seat sides that I already mentioned. Since this updated chair has a flat seat, it’s nearly perfect. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now for work and I’ve found it to be much more comfortable than my previous gaming chair (not an E-Win brand). I have some chronic back issues so having a sturdy comfortable chair is essential for me. I love the soft seat cushion that is also very supportive. This chair also comes with two detachable cushions — one for the back and one for the neck. I like the back cushion because it helps me sit up straighter. I do remove it from time-to-time so that I can sit back farther in the chair. The only thing I don’t like about this chair and could see it being improved is the location of the hydraulic cylinder. It ends up being off-center and toward the back of the seat. So, when you go to sit in the chair, if you are too close to the front edge, the chair can actually slide out from under you. This has happened to me a couple of times and thankfully was never hurt. While some people may not have problems with this, I wanted to address it since I did have issues. My fiancé will steel the chair from me after my workday to use it through the night for gaming. He says it’s super comfortable and wants to order one just for his gaming station. Nick says the ability to rock in this gaming chair is so wonderful, it keeps him calm when playing intense games.

The EWin Hero Series Chair is a gamechanger. It is by far the most comfortable gaming chair in the industry, and better yet, it helps me tremendously with my neck and lower spine. With all the various features to the chair, it’s no doubt that it is one of the premier gaming chairs out there. The neck and back support are unparalleled, and couple this with a myriad of other features, the chair is one of the best on the market.
The one blunder I came across the chair was during the assembly. One of the frames was bent and it was beyond difficult to get the screw in place, but this is hardly the norm and I besides that, the assembly was very simple with wonderful directions. It will take maybe 20 minutes tops. Once the chair is assembled and you have a chance to check out all of the chairs features, you’re in for a treat, because there are a multitude of them. What’s even better is that this is not strictly a gaming chair – it can be used as an office chair as well! With the neck and back support, it’s great for people like me, who at this point is designated as totally disabled. The cervical and lumbar spine support alleviates some of the pain and allows me to function properly, at least work-wise, once again! The chair is also fully adjustable. You can set it as high or as low as you’d like, recline it back to the point where it can act as a bed, and a few other little small things, such as locking the bottom of the chair in place. It is truly a marvel to behold. The chair also comes in sleek colors (I love the blue on mine), and is uber comfortable, especially if you’re going through a gaming marathon.

It’s comfortable, comes with two pillows for your neck and back, reclines as far back as it can so you can take a nap and is the premier gaming chair on the market. Fortunately, this is a comfortable seat that just about any medium-sized person can comfortably sit in for hours at a time. The pillows are soft and are placed in just the right spots for support. The lower pillow could be just a bit tighter to allow for more adjustment, but this doesn’t completely ruin the experience. The chair is more accommodating for a variety of body types than one would expect too. We had a woman who is 8 months pregnant try the chair out, and she found that the pillows offered just the right amount of support for her to be comfortable.
With how comfortable the Champion Series chair is, it is surprising that it is so affordable. This chair is accessible when you compare the competition, and you can usually acquire it for less than $300. The chair seems to be well made and worth every penny. It doesn’t come with any wild bells and whistles, but most will be satisfied with what they paid for. As mentioned before, the chair doesn’t come with any wild features, which isn’t surprising considering the price. Just about everything is accessible on it, which is more than you can ask for. The arms can go in every direction: up, down, left, right, forward and back. If you have any experience building with Ikea furniture you will likely not have any trouble putting together this chair. While we haven’t had much time with the EwinRacing Champion C Chair, it certainly feels like this chair will last for some time. It’s listed as able to hold close to 400 lbs, so bigger people should still be able to use the chair without much concern. I can’t speak for how comfortable it is for larger people since I am about 140 lbs and 6ft myself.
The chair looks great, with a sleek design. Without the bright, vivid colors, it can easily pass as a simple office chair. It has a professional appearance and doesn’t sell out on looking like a gaming chair. The formal-ish look will appeal to those who don’t want their chair to be too gaudy. It doesn’t scream “Gaming Chair” out to a room at all. The appearance lends itself well to normal office settings, adding a bit of flexibility to its uses. The C model comes in blue and red, so you can pick what makes for the best accent with your gaming setup. The other Champion series chairs come in a variety of other colors like green, pink, and yellow, but I can’t speak for any other differences those chairs might have.
