EWIN RACING: KNIGHT SERIES GAMING CHAIR REVIEW

4.7

As a dedicated gamer, you spend countless hours lost in a virtual world. While you’re sitting, trapped behind a screen, you need to be as comfortable as ever to stay in the game. Posture and comfort are vital as you stay focused. Whether it’s competing in an online match, casually playing solo, or working on anything else, the chair you sit in determines the level of comfort you have and how long you can focus on the task at hand. The decision on what chair to buy is one of the hardest decisions to make. When looking at chairs, we immediately thought of 3 things: Style, Comfort, and Affordability. So, what kind of chair is out there that suits those 3 needs?

I am a guy with many back problems, and the old wooden barstool was not suited for me. There was no support for my back, nor was I able to lean back and relax. It was time for something new. After the countless amount of reviews read throughout the chair industry, I struggled finding “The one.” Taking a second shot browsing, one brand caught my eye. Reading the reviews, the comfort was there, the style was there, and the affordability was right in my budget. Ewin Racing provided me with everything I was looking for. So, I decided to snag one of their Knight Series gaming / office chairs, and man, was I excited.

After about 3 days, a massive package arrived at my door. It felt like Christmas in March, I was so excited. I was immediately astounded at how heavy the package was. It was known then, that this chair was going to be sturdy and well built. I couldn’t believe how well packaged the chair was. Everything was super protected to ensure nothing got damaged. Attached was a beautiful, laminated set of instructions that would walk me through about 20 minutes of easy assembly. They also provided me a nice pair of gloves! Once built, this monster stood out. It blew my mind on how good this gaming chair looked. One thing off my list checked, but does it fulfill my needs in terms of comfortability?

Throwing the barstool to the side, this new beast took its place. As soon as I sat down, I immediately felt like I was thrown on a cloud, it was THAT comfortable. The Ewin Knight Series chair comes with a comfortable head pillow for relaxation and one well designed lumbar support to keep me upright. At any time, I can move the pillow and lumbar support or remove them completely to ensure 100% comfort. Nothing on this chair felt cheap. The adjustable arm rests were well built, as well as the actual frame of the chair. You can easily tell that this gaming chair was built with a lot of TLC.

At the price of $269.00 (15% off if you use the promocode: TheTechGame), I can say that this chair is worth every cent. Now for that price, that is one cheap gaming chair. After a full week with the Knight Series chair, I can easily tell you that I am still as impressed as I was the day it arrived. Now, everything has it’s pros and cons. Here are mine:

Pros:
Easy to assemble.
Lumbar support.
Very comfortable.
Great product for what you pay for.

Cons:
Arm rests are not padded.
There is no wheel lock as I do roll around a bit.

E-WIN CHAMPION SERIES GAMING CHAIR REVIEW

E-WIN Champion Series Racing Chair

It wasn’t all that long ago that Steve took a look at one of E-Win’s Champion Series PC gaming chairs and now, I’m going back for a look at a slightly different version of the chair turned at least one of our team into a “chair snob”.

Originally an OEM furniture manufacturer, E-Win Racing has been around for a few years now. Since 2016 they’ve been wheeling chairs into our homes and offices that will certainly get you noticed. As Steve pointed out in his review of the all black Champion chair, E-Win’s prior experience is hardly limited to the gaming market, so they really ought to know a few things about keeping people comfy. Four series of chairs are already available to suit a variety of players. These include the Champion, Calling, Hero, and Flash Series.

The Champion line of chairs comes in at $289.00/€249.00/£221 with some mild variation based on design choice. My particular test sample currently retails for £249 on E-Win’s official site. This lands a substantial discount when compared to something like the Noble Epic. While this particular model might be part of the same line as Steve’s previous Champion series review, there are a few noticeable differences.

SPECIFICATION

  • SKU: Champion Series/CP-BOW3D
  • 4D Adjustable Poly Urethane Arm Rests
  • PU Leather
  • Height Adjustable
  • 120MM Class 4 Gas Lift – good up to 330lbs (150 kg)
  • Cold Molding Foam
  • Aluminum 5-star wheelbase
  • Steel chair frame
  • Tilt Lock and Tilt Control Mechanism
  • Lever Operated Back Recliner
  • 20.9in (53cm) wide by 22in (56cm) deep by 36.6in (93cm) high seating
  • Seating adjustable angle 85 degrees to 155 degrees
  • 360-degree swivel
  • Protective caster wheels
  • Neck and lumbar pillows

Getting this monster dumped on your front doorstep is a little intimidating for anybody who’s not had an opportunity to put together a gaming chair before. Thankfully, E-Win impressed right out the box. The Champion Series is packed with a fairly minimal amount of superfluous wrapping. Instead, you’ll find the chair is snugly fitted into the accompanying package, and extremely easy to extract. Anything smaller than the base is boxed away to prevent a side quest to find the correct screw head. Components are correctly parcelled into appropriate packages and E-Win even throw in a pair of rubber tipped gloves to make things a little easier to handle. The forethought E-Win put into the packaging speaks volumes about the way the Champion series is built and makes the assembly as painless as it could be, even for an IKEA-phobe.

After around 15 minutes you should find the E-Win series up and running. Putting the pieces of this chair together is, in my experience, simple enough and the result feels satisfyingly solid. A total of ten hex headed screws are all that is needed, alongside a little lifting, to put complete the Champion series build. The entire frame is intended to hold up to 150KG, so handles my paltry frame of around 60KG without any issue. Putting my own posterior down, this E-Win chair feels roomier than I’ve become accustomed to, even compared to other gaming chairs. The Champion series is not the largest chair on the market. It is not even the biggest seat in E-Win’s own range but it is still sufficiently generous to accommodate my 180cm frame easily. While other furniture sometimes falls a little short when it comes to my back and neck, the E-Win Champion series is tall enough that it always provides a level of functional support, especially when compared to more entry-level options.

The addition of a lumbar support and adjustable neck cushion to the E-Win Champion is another nice touch that elevates the series above my own personal comparisons and entry-level chairs. These cushions are fully adjustable, or removable if you need to readjust them. Cushions might sound like an unnecessary option but they are an addition that I didn’t even know I needed until I had them. The Champion series neck cushion is not the only adjustable area of this gaming chairs The 4D movement of the attached armrests allows gamers to elevate, slide, and rotate the armrests to a silly number of configurations. The rotation, in particular, of these attachments, allows them to do more than just go up and down or forward and back. It gives me real room to get the Champion Gaming chair where I actually want it, rather than settling for where it best fits among my desk clutter.

As if that wasn’t quite enough choice, E-Win has included a reclining feature to the Champion series that allows it to throw back anywhere from 85 to 155 degrees. That’s pretty much enough to sleep on if you so wish. From a functional standpoint, this gives the E-Win room to recline to your own preference and utilizing the reclining feature is as simple as pulling a lever located on the side of the chair. It’s simple and safe. All the moving component are guarded by chair’s side covers and the entire thing feels solid when you kick back. Let’s be clear though, 155 degrees is an extreme and nobody needs a chair that they can sleep on. However, I really could take a quick nap on this if I felt like it.

The E-Win Champion series gaming chair is an impressive piece of kit. The chair’s cold molded foam and multi cushion design create a wrap around that provide support from every direction. The quality of the material and stitching here feel as solid as the steel frame, while the configuration options are excellent. Construction was easy, while some impressive design and packaging features meant that I didn’t waste my day deciphering instructions. All in, and the color aside, E-Win continue to produce a line of chairs that impress for the price. While this might not come with the street cred of a Noble, you’re going to be indoors. If you want a quality gaming chair that will let you kick back in front of your rig then the E-Win Champion series is it.

Pros

  • Solid Construction
  • Very easy to put together
  • 4D armrests are a great addition

Cons

  • Not for tiny spaces
  • Reclining feature is probably a little more than is required
  • This particular color option isn’t going to win any fashion awards

EWinRacing Hero Series Gaming Chair Review

Being an IT professional, a vivid gamer, I spend quite a bit of time sitting down.  Because of that, there’s only one thing that’s more important than the hardware I amass in my office. That is a good quality chair. Which is exactly something that I’ve neglected for as long as I can remember. Let’s be honest, a good chair costs a lot of money. We’re talking $300 or more for a quality chair that doubles up for long gaming sessions or late night coding sessions. A chair that won’t have your rear end and back feeling like crap. Yet for 20+ years, the most I’ve ever paid for anything overly expensive. Yeah, I’m cheap as heck when it comes to chairs. However, with me being 41-years young, my body has been telling me that it’s time to stop being so cheap. As such, I started looking for a chair that would allow me to do what I enjoy. Without breaking my bank account. Or even better, not having my wife potentially killing me. So, after doing some research on numerous gaming chairs out there, I was going nowhere fast. Seriously, looking for a chair nowadays is like looking for a car. Every one of them has this sexy looking, possessing numerous advantages and stuff that others don’t have. Just when you decide on “The One”, you look at the price tag. Suddenly, that one just isn’t the one after a while.

Thankfully for me, it seems that stars started to align. See, being a gaming and technology journalist, you tend to get offered stuff to check out. It just so happens that it was my turn to be offered a chair to review. The kind folks over at Ewin Racing had reached out to me, asking if I wanted to review one of their chairs. After a conversation with one of their representatives (Hello Sally), I decided on the EWin Hero Series Ergonomic Computer Gaming Office Chair, in red and black.  After a few days, the chair was shipped out to me.

I admit that I was never completely sold on the idea of a “Gaming Racing Chair“. I was under the impression that it was a gimmick to promote more sales. With countless online personalities claiming that a gaming chair was the best piece of equipment they ever acquired. Despite seeing them pop-up in more and more places. Despite reading multiple articles claiming that they’re the best thing since, well since sliced bread. Damn it, now I’m hungry. Anyway, I’m not too proud to admit when I’m wrong. I was clearly in the wrong here. I’ll be damned if this both comfortable and good for my back.

So let’s dive into this chair and see what it’s all about. Specs of the EWinRacing Hero Gaming Chair: Chair Type: Gaming/Office Chair Foam Type:High Density Integrated Foaming / Foam Density: 55kg/m3 Frame Construction: Metal Adjustable Armrests: 4D Mechanism Type: Multi-functional Tilt Gas Lift Class: 4 Adjustable Back Angle: 85-155 Degree  Adjustable Lumbar Cushion: Yes Adjustable Headrest: Yes Base Type: 5-star Wide Aluminum Base Caster Size & Material: 2″ Caster/PU

Upon opening the box, which wasn’t damaged (thanks, UPS), I took each of the parts out of the box and reviewed them. Surprisingly, there weren’t as many parts as I expected there to be. Included was the seat and pillows, base, wheels, and various other accessories. The included instructions were clear and precise, which was a blessing. It took my wife and myself thirty minutes to put the chair together and we never once had a problem reading the instructions.

They even included two Allen keys to assemble the chair. You don’t even need to use your own tools, as they included everything for you. I’m still not sure why a pair of gloves were added, or why they were called “PU Gloves”. At least they allowed my daughter to crack a joke about them being PU Gloves (they stink). Ah, children.

All the parts included in the box.

Decked out in black and red, this chair does remind me of a racing seat. The armrests adjust to three different levels. The seat also raises and lowers, thanks to the height adjustment. To the rear of the chair is reinforced high backing, great for taller people. Included are two cushions (headrest and lumbar) that attached by two straps, that can also be placed as needed for maximum comfort. Rounding out the rest of the features is the pull recline lever that moves the chair between 85 – 155 degrees. Great for watching TV, playing games, or just relaxing. Speaking of being comfortable, a good measure for a gaming chair is how long can you sit in it. Since I spend a lot of time in my office, being comfortable is super important. Prior to this review, I’d clocked in 200 hours in this chair so far and not once have I felt uncomfortable in it. That’s extremely positive for me.

The build quality is exceptional as well. Made out of hard plastic and metal, the chair is very sturdy.  The frame of the chair is made out of steel, while the seat is covered in high-density memory foam. The base of the chair is also high quality and made out of aluminum This particular model can support up to 330lbs. Definitely some quality stuff here.

All in all, the chair has been great to me.

By now, you’re probably thinking to yourself “is it as good as you make it out to be”? Well, it is almost perfect, however, there are several things that I wasn’t a fan of. Not to knock the chair, but more like constructive feedback.

The first has to do with the seat of the chair. Along the sides, toward the front, it has a slight incline that tends to restricts your freedom. It pushes my thighs together, with little wiggle room. I can sit comfortably, but I can’t spread my legs out. Not unless I sit a bit closer on the edge of the seat, which could result in me tipping over. Those with smaller thighs won’t likely have the same, so your experience may vary. For me, it’s nuisance but it’s not a detractor. The chair sits up a bit higher than I liked, but not too much of a big deal.

Outside of that, the chair is a great value for the price. Currently, this chair is priced at $379, but at the moment EWinRacing is running a promotion for Chinese New Year. For now, the chair comes with a 20% discount, dropping the price of the chair to $359. Once the promotion is over, the chair goes back up. Fortunately for our readers, we have a 15% discount off all Ewin chairs by using the code “TOH15” at checkout. We won’t get any kickback if you purchase a chair. Just a little something to help our readers out, nothing more. Enjoy!

EWinRacing Hero Series Gaming Chair My very first gaming chair and it’s a winner. Not overly expensive, while being durable, sturdy and looks cool as well. Definitely comfortable for those who are at their or TVs for long periods of time. There’s not really much I can say other than this chair has put my other chairs to shame.  Sadly, the chair is a bit too good and now I have to fight my family over it. So I guess that means I’m buying another one.

Overall 4.5 /5

E-WIN HERO SERIES GAMING CHAIR REVIEW

Introduction

The market for high end gaming peripherals has been booming for several years now. The trend started with mechanical keyboards which provide both tactile feedback and a variety of switch types to suit different preferences. Gamers quickly grew accustomed to expecting more from their peripherals. This trend soon spread to other peripherals including mice, webcams, headsets, and even standalone mics. Even high-end monitors that offer lower latency and higher refresh rates are now common among the PC elite. While all of these peripherals stand to improve a user’s experience, gamers often neglect the one item right under their nose: their chair. A high-end gaming chair is designed with long sitting sessions in mind and stands to improve both user’s comfort and posture.

Awareness of gaming chairs has been growing, but there’s still a far higher hesitation factor involved with ordering a gaming chair than there is with other high-end purchases. High costs play a part, but the bulky nature of the product also plays a significant role. For years, the size, shipping, and assembly requirements kept me from ordering a gaming chair. The anxiety of ordering a chair without first sitting on it was also a factor. Fortunately, the folks at E-Win made the decision for me by offering one of their premium Hero Series chairs for me to test out. After using extensively for the past month, I thought I’d share my thoughts.

What’s in the Box

The EWinRacing Hero Series gaming chair comes disassembled in a hefty box, but assembly only takes 10-20 minutes. Despite its size, I found it far easier to assemble than the IKEA chair I was previously using. A clearly worded color manual makes following along during the assembly process effortless. The adjustable armrests even come pre installed on the sides of the seat. The only step that could benefit from a second pair of hands is joining the backrest with the seat portion. E-Win chairs have sturdy steel frames which makes them heftier than generic office chairs. If you’re assembling the chair alone, it may help to place the seat piece on an elevated surface like a table before joining it with the backrest. E-Win has a convenient installation guide available on YouTube which you can reference.

Adjustable Comfort

Once assembled, it become clear that the E-Win Hero series chair has a multitude of adjustment options. The pre-installed armrests can be adjusted in height which helps since I prefer them to be low enough to slide under my desk. They can also be removed entirely for those who prefer not to use armrests. The backrest can adjusted back with the help of a lever on the right of the seat. A height adjustment lever is located on the bottom right of the seat as well. Most importantly, the included head support and lower back/lumbar support cushion can be adjusted or removed entirely. The E-Win seatback is very firm, but the two cushions balance this out perfectly. Their value is especially apparent when you lean the backseat back a bit. The firm build of the chair keeps your posture healthy while the cushions offer support for the two contact points along the back of your body. When trying to find the ideal setup for yourself, I suggest moving the cushions around a bit, it took me several adjustments to get it perfectly aligned for my height and body shape.

Memory Foam For Your Butt

The seat itself is perhaps the largest improvement over standard office chairs. My E-Win Hero Series chair came just in time for the launch of the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Battle For Azeroth and I have been sitting still playing for up to 12 hours a day. My old chair required me to make several uncomfortable adjustments to give my sore butt a rest. This often twisted my back into strange poses which I would hold for minutes at a time. Now I don’t even think about my butt while sitting. The thick memory foam seat feels like a cloud, especially after your body heat warms it up a bit.

Aesthetics

My biggest reservation when it came to gaming chairs was their aesthetic. Often streamers are seen with these chairs and they can look a bit glaring, especially in an otherwise normal bedroom or living room. If you share these concerns, know that E-Win also has an all-black chair option in their ‘Champion Series’ line. But from my experience, the blue Hero Series model I received looks much better than I thought it would. The most colorful part, the backrest, is always facing the desk and so the chair’s overall presence in a room is by no means overpowering.

Overall

Priced at $359 with free shipping, the E-Win Hero series may seem expensive, but the difference in quality over standard office chairs is substantial. For value per dollar, the chair is a bargain. The metal frame and dense foam seat look like they can last a lifetime. And just as with mechanical keyboards, once you’ve used a proper chair, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t make the switch sooner. But with all that said, there are caveats. As I said earlier, the E-Win chair is quite firm. Those who realize the value of good posture will appreciate this, but some may find the firmness to be uncomfortable. The ergonomics of the chair force a healthy posture. Sitting cross legged, for example, is difficult due to the curves on the seat. Again, this can largely be seen as a positive, but is worth mentioning for full disclosure. Those looking for a chair for gaming won’t be disappointed. Overall, the E-Win Hero Series receives top marks and comes highly recommended.

EwinRacing Flash Series Ergonomic Office Chair with Pillows

In this review we are going to take a look at something a little different, that is still definitely an essential item for those who spend any time working or playing in front of a screen – a comfortable chair. We received the red and black version of the Flash Series ergonomic office chair with pillows from EwinRacing.com, which also has a European presence with the domain EwinRacing.eu.

The Flash Series chair is shown in the promotional image above where we see that while it has the typical profile of an ergonomic chair, it is rather sporty looking. What we can not see is that this particular model is made to support up to 330 pounds and will adjust to accomodate users well over six feet tall. Considering this is considered the “Normal” version of the Flash Series chair, and that there is an “XL” offering, EwinRacing clearly has not forgotten about the larger people in the world when developing their products. Before taking a look at the sample provided for review, let’s take a look at some published data on it, as taken from the official product page on the Ewinracing website.

The Delivery:

The chair was delivered to my front door in a fairly large box. Overall it appeared to survive the cheap unscathed, which is impressive considering the size and that it weighed in at close to seventy pounds!

Packaging and Accessories:

Opening the box we find that all of the components are well padded, and in case you had not figured out yet – some assembly is required!

Review Image

The image above shows that the five star base is placed on top, with plenty of bubble wrap and foam sheeting separating it from the body of the chair underneath. The below left image shows the chair back (with armrests pre-installed) is the next item to be found as we dig our way down, and the below right image shows that below that is the chair base and a cardboard box full of smaller items.

Review Image Review Image

Next we see all of the items out of the larger box, almost ready for assembly. First we have to see what is inside that smaller cardboard box.

Review Image

The box of accessories includes pictorial assembly instructions, hinge covers for where the back meets the base, all the necessary bolts (plus Allen wrenches to tighten them), five casters, the gas cylinder, the bracket where the gas cylinder meets the base – and so you feel like you’re working on a Bentley – you get a pair of knit gloves!

Review Image Review Image Review Image

Assembly:

In this section we will cover the assembly of the chair, but first I want to comment on the quality of the seating surfaces. The base and back are very heavy duty and the first impression given is that they are very well made. The PU leather looks great, the stitching is very well done, and all the foam padding feels great and is very thick. The first step to assembling the EwinRacing Flash Series chair is to bolt the base to the back, which requires the use of the four included Allen head bolts. The two images below show this step, and how it leaves the chair looking a bit unfinished.

Review Image Review Image

This unfinished look is only temporary, as there are plastic covers to screw on over the hinges, as shown in the images below. To be honest, these images show this cover on wrong, as the upper piece of plastic should be on the outside of the lower piece, and not tucked in as shown. This step was a little confusing, as the pieces provided didn’t match the pieces shown in the instructions, plus the lower piece of plastic seemed to stick out too far to do it the right way. Never-the-less, I corrected the installation on this step, and both sides were covered, so as to conceal the hinge and assembly hardware. From a distance it looks fine, and the plastic covers function just fine, but in my opinion these pieces don’t meet the same high quality standard the bulk of the chair’s components seem to have. The plastic covers are somewhat flimsy, have a cheap plastic finish, and didn’t fit as cleanly as I would have expected. Not a big deal, but considering how well done the seating surfaces and other areas were executed, I think just a bit more effort on these pieces would have paid off with an even better overall appearance.

Review Image Review Image

The next step is to bolt the bracket to the underside of the seat, so that the gas cylinder can be connected and so that you can raise / lower the chair while in use. The four Allen bolts required are already attached to the bottom of the chair, so you remove those, put the bracket in place with the “Front” label facing the front of the chair, and then tighten everything back up.

Review Image Review Image

The casters are all then pressed into their holes on the five star base, and the gas cylinder is pressed into the center hole – no tools required.

Review Image

The last step is to press the five star base assembly in to the bottom of the chair. It all goes together very snugly, but having a seat on your new chair will help force all of the press fit components together completely.

Review Image Review Image Review Image

The full assembled chair looks sharp and very sporty. I think that the Ewin logo embroidered onto three locations on the front of the chair is a bit much, and that the chair would look much nicer if at least two if the three logos were eliminated. The neck and lumbar pillows are the location of two of the chair’s logos and they both come pre-installed, but are merely attached with belts and clips, so they can be removed. Additionally, this belt system allows the pillows to be repositioned while in use, and the tension on the belts helps keep them in place, exactly where you would like them.

In Use:

The chair is very comfortable – I have spent hours straight in this chair and have no complaints about how it feels or how adjustable it is. You can raise/lower the total height of the chair with the gas cylinder’s lever, the seat can recline it small increments to an angle that is so laid back you’ll think you might tip over (but I didn’t), the pillows are adjustable, and even the armrests are “4D adjustable” That means they can move up/down, left/right, forward/back, and they can be rotated clockwise/counterclockwise.

The first three adjustments for the armrests are all locked and can only be actuated by depressing a button first. But, the rotation is not locked out and I find that they rotate by accident quite often. For example, using the armrests to get up may make them rotate, and pushing the chair out of the way using the armrest as a handle may make them rotate. The armrests are also not upholstered and have a fairly thin rubbery surface for you to rest on. It is not uncomfortable, but to me the quality does not match the body of the chair. Like the hinge covers, I feel the armrests are executed to a lower standard than the bulk of the chair, and really could be so much nicer.

While I have done well to keep my likeness out of my own reviews for the past 15+ years, I suppose some selfies are useful for reviewing a chair. The main point is that I have 6’2″ tall and about 225 pounds, and while I am not the biggest guy you will meet, there are plenty of places that I just don’t physically fit into – at least not comfortably. I am very comfortable in the EwinRacing Flash Series chair, and it definitely has plenty of room for even larger (taller and wider) users. I can easily find nice positions for the two pillows, and I do like that the armrests can be adjusted in so many planes. As you see me posing below as if I was gaming, know that I have dialed in the chair just to my liking and that I am definitely comfortable.

Review Image Review Image

The next two shots are intended to show that if you needed the chair to go higher, it definitely can. I can honestly say it is rare that my feet don’t touch the ground, unless I am sitting on a bar stool – but here my feet are a good two to three inches off the ground with the chair at full height! So, all the people over 6’6″, I’d say the Flash Series chair may be a good choice for you!

Review Image Review Image

Eventually, my sidekick got his turn in the chair, and I may not get it back now. At 4 feet and change and just over 50 pounds, he isn’t maxing it out in any way, but he sures does like sitting it all the same! Looking good buddy!

Review Image Review Image

Conclusion:
I have never reviewed a chair before, but I have sat in plenty of them, so I would say I am fairly qualified to share my opinion. The EwinRacing Flash Series chair is definitely very comfortable, and overall has a very high build quality. There is plenty of adjustability to it, and the inclusion of both a lumbar and a neck pillow are welcome touches. I also appreciate that it can accommodate such a range of user heights / weights, as I am quite often left with chairs maxed out and still wishing for a little more room! Not with this chair, as it can go so high that my feet are left dangling.

While the quality is high in general, I feel that some components (like the armrests) don’t achieve the same high standard. They are comfortable enough and very functional, but not quite as polished as the seating surfaces and the five star base. My personal opinion is that the Ewin branding on the chair is a bit overdone, as you see their logo embroidered very prominently in three locations on the front of the chair!

The Flash Series ergonomic office chair with pillows can be purchased directly from EwinRacing.com or EwinRacing.eu, and in US Dollars the price is a rather lofty $379 (US)! That is quite a price tag for an office chair, but you do not have to pay that much since they currently have a promotion where the code XMAS will take off 25%, bringing the total down to $284 (US). I assume the code XMAS will expire sometime soon after the holidays, but when that happens you should still be able to use code BIGBRUIN, which will take 15% off. Considering that the shipping box weighed in at almost seventy pounds, it is very appealing that they also offer free shipping! $284 is still more than I have paid for any of my previous office chairs, but the Flash Series chair definitely has more to offer and is much more comfortable.

In the end, the EwinRacing Flash Series ergonomic office chair with pillows earns the Bigbruin.com “Recommended” award.

Recommended
Pros:

» Overall very high build quality
» Very comfortable
» Highly adjustable to make sure you can make it suit you
» At 6’2″ and 225lbs, I am nowhere near maxing out the height and weight capabilities of this chair

Cons:

» Some components don’t quite match the overall high quality
» Ewin branding is overdone

EWINRACING HERO SERIES GAMING CHAIR REVIEW

4.6

Do you ever fancy one those gaming chairs that you see your favorite Twitch streamer sitting in? A gaming chair is a well worth investment not only for PC and console gamers, but for those who spend their day on the computer. A gaming chair provides comfortable support for those long hours of sitting and hardcore gaming.

And if you have not guessed it already by the title, today we will be reviewing a gaming chair from EwinRacing, specifically their Hero Series Gaming Chair.

We would like to give a special thanks to them for providing us with their Hero Series Gaming Chair to review.

Let’s jump right in by taking a look at specs of this chair.

Overview

Assembling the chair is easy and should only take you about 20 minutes to put it together. This was my first time putting together a gaming chair and I did not find it difficult. The instructions are easy to read and follow along, so you should not have a hard time. The chair provided comes in two color variations: blue and red. The chair is made of a durable steel frame with high density integrated memory foam. The Hero Series comes with a lumbar cushion pillow and a head rest pillow. The chair is designed to mold with your body, so that provides comfort for long periods of sitting. The chair has 4D adjustable armrests. You can rotate them or set their angle, move them further apart or closer together, move them forward or backwards, and adjust their height. The chair is adjustable and also can be tilted back to 155 degrees for relaxing.

Thoughts

I have had a full week of using the chair and can say I really love it. I spend a lot of my time on the computer due to work. I need a chair that provides comfortable support and the Hero Series Gaming Chair provides that. I could hardly sit for 1 hour in my old chair without my back hurting. The Hero Series Gaming Chair has a price of $359. The price is around the average price of other gaming chairs on the market. One thing I do have to say is, I wish the armrests had a little more padding and were not so wobbly. All in all, I would highly recommend getting yourself one of these gaming chairs.

Pros

  • Easy assembly
  • Comfortable
  • Adjustable
  • Lumbar support

Cons

  • Armrests aren’t that padded
  • Armrests are a bit wobbly
  • Wish it came in more than two colors (Not really a con, but something worth noting)

Lieferumfang:

  • EwinRacing – CP-BW3B Gaming Chair in gewählter Farbe
  • Montagematerial
  • Handschuhe
  • Montageanleitung

E-Win Flash XL review – the chair for big gamers

E-Win Flash XL gaming chair  €349

PROS

  • Looks the business
  • Comfortable for long sessions
  • Adjustable lumbar support
  • Adjustability
  • Great for big and tall gamers

CONS

  • Neck pillow not in optimum position
  • Chair is pretty heavy

ewin flash xl gaming office chair with pillowsE-Win has sent me one of their rather lovely Flash XL gaming chairs. The XL suits those taller and/or wider gamers.

If you’re on the larger side of things, some of those cool-looking gaming chairs just aren’t going to cut it.

If you’re a little more leggy than the average, you might find the chair doesn’t go high enough.

Additionally, if you happen to be a bit more blessed in the hips or bum, these racing-style chairs just won’t accommodate your booty. That’s before we start talking about the arm rests.

So, how does the E-Win Flash XL handle larger gamers?

E-Win Flash XL design

Ewinracing Flash XL gaming chairThe E-Win Flash XL gaming chair is a heavy-duty seat with a large base. This has been designed for maximum room and comfort.

A chair for girthy gamers is going to be larger than a standard gaming chair. The Flash XL measures 22.4- x 23.6- x 48.4-inches.

It is covered in synthetic leather, mine being blue and black to match my gaming rig.

The seat is padded with high density memory foam

However, the arm rests are a soft-touch rubberised foam.

Ergonomics

You get 360-degree swivel, a 155-degree adjustable backrest. Height is adjustable from 9.4-inches to 13.4-inches). The chair also features 4D adjustable armrests.

The Flash XL will support gamers up to 330 lbs. That’s over 23 stones.

E-Win Flash XL performance

The Flash XL chair is designed for larger and taller gamers.

There is some construction required, but that shouldn’t put you off. Most of us these days will have tackled at least one piece of flat-pack furniture by now.

I managed to sling mine together in under 15 minutes – when I should have been packing for a holiday.

Assume the position

That 13.4 inches of lift is just the thing for longer legs. I’m not *that* tall at 6 foot 2-inches (1.88 metres) and at its highest setting I can’t touch the floor when sat in it.

Those with more junk in the trunk will be grateful of the wider 22.4-inch seat.

Needles to say, you don’t have to be XL in order to appreciate the extra room.

Flash XL recline adjustmentAs well as being able to spin around in the Flash XL, you are offered 155-degrees of recline by the adjustable backrest.

Flash XL tilt controlYou can also tilt back in the chair. The amount of allowed tilt is dialled in underneath the chair.

The Flash series also comes with “4D” adjustable armrests.

Flash XL arm rest adjustmentThis means that you are able to adjust the angle, the height, and the position of the armrests. Most of these are achieved by using the little hidden toggle switches.

Although, I couldn’t work out how to alter the armrest angle. No matter how hard I looked or which button I pressed, nothing seemed to work. Then, as usual, I looked at the instructions. All you need to do is add a little more force as you twist the top of the rest. Job done.

Getting your optimal settings should be easy. Especially as most things can be changed in little steps in order to get it just right.

Pillow fighter

ewinracing flash xl gaming chair pillowsThe Flash XL also comes with an optional lumbar backrest and a neck pillow. Both of these items are held in using belt straps.

The lumbar pillow can be raised and lowered on its strap. The neck pillow, however, is pretty much on or off.

Comfort

The Flash XL certainly appears to be a quality gaming chair.

This is no light-weight either. The chair is built around an all-metal framework.

Around the cold moulding, high density memory foam is wrapped PU leather. This is all bonded using heavy-duty stitching. The same quality stitching is even employed on the bits you can’t see too.

Once I got it all set up, the Flash XL is certainly a comfy seat to be in for long periods of time.

It has tons of room and the side-cushions give extra support. I have not realised just how great having a lumbar pillow is until now.

Granted, you can get lumbar pillows separately even if you don’t get one of these chairs. They are worth it.

Pain in the neck

ewin racing flash xl gaming chair reviewHowever, the neck pillow is not so great. It is comfortable, don’t get me wrong, it’s just not in the right position.

I am by no means the tallest person who will be using this chair and yet the neck pillow is at shoulder height on me. What I have to do when getting seated is slouch at first and then push the neck pillow up using my shoulders.

I suggest a similar solution as to what the lumbar support uses. Once in position, it is lovely.

The gas lift provides an impressive 13.4-inches of floor clearance, which is ideal for taller gamers. Alternatively, you can shrink all the way down to 9-inches.

Sticky buns

The pleather covering of the Flash XL worried me a little. The office chair I chose before this was a woven material for a reason. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer and having breathable material is a preferred option.

It does get a little warm in the seat but, overall, it does feel reasonably airy. The bonus of this material is that you can easily wipe away any spilled drinks.

E-Win Flash XL review conclusion

ewin_racing_flash_xlThe E-Win Flash XL is a very comfortable gaming chair for the gamer who demands extra room.

The neck pillow would benefit from some adjustment, but all the other options allows you to get the perfect settings.

Yes, the chair weighs a tonne (I constructed it downstairs and carried up in two halves) but that’s due to the quality materials used.

It feels that it will last and all that memory foam does make it an extremely comfortable place to play.
