E-WIN GAMING CHAIR (CHAMPION SERIES) REVIEW

With more and more people staying home due to the growing pandemic, people are starting to turn to video games as a means to pass the time. As such people are spending more time sitting down than moving around, so a comfortable place to sit is important. Gaming chairs have become a commodity within the gaming world and growing communities lookout for new options and features as they are released. The Champion Series is but one series within the E-win brand and will be the focus of this review.

E-win’s champion series is made from their unique materials. It features a stain-resistant 2.0 PU Leather which is easy to clean and lasts longer as the product is used. The material is also much more resistant to stretching on long uses and is less abrasive. The seating material features a thick foam material that can be compared to memory foam which stays more comfortable, even in long gaming sessions. This chair also sports a steel frame for added support and hub-less caster type wheels for a smoother glide on almost any surface. You will also find back and neck supporting pillows as added accessories on this chair which are also made from the same materials.

Hub-less Casters

This chair also has several features for adjustability similar to other chairs on the market. You have armrest adjustability that controls the height and depth of the rest. The chair also features the usual height features for those looking for a taller chair. Though I felt the chair could have gone a bit lower. The chair also features a tilt feature for those who like to lean back in their chairs. When it comes to features this chair is on par with others of similar quality on the market.

Multi-tilt Mechanism

With companies like Secret Lab, DX Racer and Arozzi being a few of many competing for dominance in the gaming chair market, E-win does not fall short when it comes to pricing. E-win has chairs ranging from $270 to $479 and the Champion Series falls in the middle at $349. Though this chair is anything but cheap, you can expect the sturdiness and support to be comparable to any of the top-priced chairs on the market. If one thing rings true, its “You get what you pay for.”

ewin-champion-series-ergonomic-computer-gaming-office-chair-with-pillows-cpb

The Champion Series features a sleek and simple ergonomic design that is a fit for most, if not all gaming setups. This chair comes in five color options from blue to red and all chairs have black as a secondary color. Whether you play casually or on a binge, this chair will leave you feeling great and others in envy.

E-win’s Champion Series has proven that a chair does not need to look super fancy or boast extra features to be the best. With its simple ergonomic design and necessary features, this chair will not only support you on long sessions but the price will not clean your bank account either. So, for everyone who is affected by the pandemic, do not pass up taking a look at this chair, it may just be the champion you need.

E-Win Champion Series Gaming Chair – Reasonable Pricing for Gaming Comfort [Review]

As a PC gamer, there are a few essentials that you should have aside from the PC itself to really consider yourself equipped for hours and hours of gaming.

One of the main things and oddly overlooked things when it comes to gaming accessories is a good gaming chair. Why is a gaming chair overlooked? In my personal experience and what I hear from my friends is, It’s mostly in the expense. Gaming chairs are expensive and I pride myself on not reviewing things where the cost outweighs the benefit. E-Win has a gaming chair that we felt gives you really good benefit for the money.

E-Win and the GSG gang got together and we asked if we could review one of the more affordable yet solid gaming chairs. E-win graciously accepted sending us one of their Champion Series Ergonomic gaming chairs.

After awhile we got a huge box and in it was everything we were excited about and for me my first real gaming chair.

SETUP, FIT & FEEL

When I opened the box, I was a little overwhelmed, mostly because I had not put together a gaming chair before but fortunately for me, in this business of tech you kinda have to be handy by default. First thing I noticed right away is how big the chair was going to be. I also noticed that it was going to be comfortable upon first glance.

The setup overall was very easy once I figured out the weird layout of the instruction sheet. Not too many parts to deal with. There are 3 leading components which are the main chair with armrests and lumbar support, the hydraulic base and the wheels.

Since I had never built a gaming chair before this took me longer than normal at about 40-45 minutes, but had this been something I was accustomed to doing I would have surely cut that time in half. Setup of this chair was quite easy. I even put a little video together detailing the ease at which I was able to put together this chair. It’s timelapsed so you won’t have to go thru 30 minutes of chair building boredom but nonetheless everything was smooth and I was gaming in this chair right away. E-Win Champion Series Gaming Chair Unboxing

The E-Win Champion Series chair as I said prior is huge. You have a great deal of real estate to play with. The Champion Series chairs come with a nice soft leather with diamond stitching in the back and seat portion of the chair and just by looking at it you can see just how premium it is. Once you sit in it, you’ll experience the premium comfort as well. With the Champion Series chairs you also get two pillows, one for your head and neck support and the other for your middle or lower back depending on where it suits you best. The chair pillows are easily adjustable and offer really nice comfort especially for those long hours of hardcore gaming. I myself struggle with lower back pain so having these pillows most important the lower pillow is a godsend.

The seat portion of the chair does a good job of holding you in without being constrictive. The armrests are somewhat comfortable considering that they have no cushioning but I won’t kill E-Win for this. My comfy desk chair at my job doesn’t have any armrest cushioning either and I sit there for 8 hours a day and most times I don’t really notice. It’s much of the same here.

The wheels and base on the chair are really well made while offering smooth maneuverability and good height adjustment for the tall people of the world. So if you’re tall, this chair drops really low and softly so you aren’t left with a chair that’s nice only if you’re under 6 ft.

If you really want to relax, this chair has really good adjustment points. If you want you can sit straight up at an 85 degree angle or go as far back as 155 degrees if relaxation while gaming is more your style. It all speaks to the level of comfort that this chair provides when you own one.

SPECS

The E-Win Champion Series Gaming chair exudes quality and you can take a look at the specifications of the chair itself just to see how much went into the construction of this gaming chair.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The E-Win Champion Series gaming chair is a great addition to not only your office setup but for the gaming setup you may have. It offers so much. You get good design, comfort, great build, and a chair that you play games in for hours and never get tired. Bet yet maybe you might like this chair because it is so relaxing. At just $300 it’s affordable comparable to other gaming chairs out there that can easily exceed $500 or more so you also get a great deal with this chair. If you’re looking to get one of these badass chairs you can grab one on their website HERE and pick a color and game in style. They are also available on Amazon as well.

Ewinracing Champion Series [Review]

By: Mithrandiel

Note: I was provided a Champion Series chair from Ewinracing in exchange for my fair and honest review.

I, like so many others, find myself working from home now on a somewhat regular basis. My wife has now completely moved to a work from home situation as well. As more and more folks find themselves working from home, there has been a dramatic increase in the need for a proper workspace: a good desk, a nice webcam, a great headset…and of course, a comfortable chair.

Office chairs have largely been seen in a league of their own outside of gaming chairs, as if they serve different purposes – but in reality, many professionals are flocking to companies like Ewinracing for a sturdy, comfortable office chair at affordable prices.

We knew it was time for a new chair when our old chair quietly whispered “Kill me…” as I plopped down into it for the 10,000th time. (Don’t worry, I’ve called in an old priest and a young priest.) It was a simple, black office chair with cheap plastic covering that was an upgrade from the stiff desk chair I had before, but it was time for yet another upgrade. A serious one.

Having reviewed Ewinracing’s products before, I decided to browse the catalog and see if there was anything new that could fit in well with our more neutral office setup. Neon green and red chairs didn’t exactly work well with the overall aesthetic.

Thankfully, I found a nice neutral gray ewin gaming chair:

Once the chair arrived, which took about a week, it was time to dive in and put the thing together!

Come to papa!

As I began to navigate the directions, it was a bit odd that it didn’t seem specific to the model I purchased. There were some instructions that seemed more generalized, or for other series like their Hero and Knight lines.

The base is very sturdy, as is the hydraulic component. Always good to have a strong foundation – pretty sure I’ve heard words of wisdom along those lines many times in my life.

The weighty pieces did make the solo job a bit challenging at times – would definitely go a bit more swimmingly with two people. Took me just about 90 minutes to make sure I had it put together the right way. Those who are more skilled in the art of putting together furniture could likely get it done in an hour.

The Champion series chair is complemented by two pillows – one that rests at the base of the chair, and the other to support your head. Now, I’m just under 6 feet tall, and the pillow hits right where it should. My wife, who’s about 5’6″, says that it doesn’t work as comfortably for her. It’s still fine, but not ideal. Ewinracing does offer different sizes in some of their other lines, but this championship series is a one-size fits all deal…so it won’t fit your size if you’re a bit shorter – especially if you raise the chair to max height.

That being said, the material is extremely comfortable. While most of the other ewin gaming chairs have a sort of leather-like material, the fabric in this model is much more breathable and firm – offering great comfort, breathability (crucial in these summer months!) and of course, reminding you to sit up straight!

While the quality of the materials is solid at the base and through the seat, the armrests, while offering good adjustability, feel a bit cheap comparatively. It’s not a deal-breaker by any means, but just a bit surprising considering the quality of the rest of the chair.

Overall, I’m very happy with my new ewin gaming chair – It’s got a professional look to it, and is very comfortable.

The chair usually retails for $299, but if you use our code, “thegeeklygrind”, you can save an additional 30% off! Head over to the ewinracing site to check out your options, and add a great new chair to your home office setup!RATE1

E-WIN Champion Gaming Chair: Ergonomic Comfort Wins

As more of us work from home, we are spending more time in our office chairs. Whether it is work or play, our backs are most likely feeling the number of hours we are hunched over our screens.

Enter ergonomic chairs many of which provide comfort for long hours of sitting. However, some of these can be a major investment. That’s when I discovered that I could get a gaming chair that could double as an office chair and for those gaming breaks that are essential to greater productivity throughout the day.

The first PC gaming chair I tried was the E-WIN champion gaming chair. Priced at just under $300, it offered an appealing price compared to those fancy ergonomic chairs plus it looked cool from the pictures. Here’s my review.

About E-WIN Champion Gaming Chairs

The E-WIN Champing Gaming Chairs are ergonomic gaming chairs that come with a lumbar pillow. You can choose from color combinations that include black and white, black and red, black and day-glow green, black and turquoise, and black and pink.

Features include stain-resistant 2.0 PU leather, which you can clean with a cloth yet looks and feels like real leather. The chairs also contain cold-cure foam, which is the company’s proprietary high-density foam, which feels very similar to memory foam that you might find on a mattress. The elasticity of the foam is designed to prolong the chair’s life and comfort level.

Pros and Cons

If you have read any of my product reviews then you know that, while I love gadgets, I don’t love assembling things. Some of the other ergonomic chairs I had considered looked like you needed an engineering degree to put them together. Not this one.

All I needed was an Allen key and about 15 minutes. The pieces were organized well in the box and mostly pre-assembled. Everything was labeled so I felt confident about what I was doing.

Once assembled, I found many other things to like about the gaming chair. It is designed and made with quality materials that don’t feel in the least bit cheap. The stitching and leather-like finish shows that the gaming chair is made to last. It feels like a much more expensive ergonomic chair.

The comfort level can be adjusted to fit the person sitting in the chair. It has a hydraulic height-adjustment lever like most chairs. But, it also has a reclining lever, which lets you put the chair almost to a horizontal position.

I love the armrest that adjust as well, including rotating, sliding to the left or the right, raising up and down, and pushing them forward or backward. You can even take the armrests off the chair.

In terms of cons, there is only one minor point. The lumbar and neck pillows are a bit awkward in terms of placement and feel. However, it’s not enough to make the whole chair uncomfortable.

In the Box

The box contains the chair components, including pillows. It also has a pair of gloves and instruction manual. The chair comes with a 10-year limited warranty.

Where to Buy

The E-WIN gaming chairs are available on the E-Win website as well as through Amazon. E-Win offers free shipping and returns. Use code TECHREPORT for 20% off.

Final Thoughts

Overall, this ergonomic gaming chair is a great buy. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and easy to assemble. Everything is adjustable for even greater comfort. The quality of the materials also makes the price an even better value.

In It to E-Win it! A Single-Take Review of E-Win’s Latest Gaming Chair

IMG_0182.jpeg

A few weeks ago the great folks over at E-Win Racing reached out to us to see if we would be interested in checking out their super fancy gaming chairs. And of course our answer was, “HECK YES!” Soon a very large box was dropped off at my door. That box contained a Champion Series Ergonomic chair, and what you’re about to read is a look at my experience assembling it, and parking my keister in it for the past couple weeks!

Assembly

IMG_0172.jpeg

I’m including extensive photos in a slide show that will help you get an idea of how the chair shows up, the size of the box, and the steps it takes to assemble the chair. From the time I cut the box open, until I sat down in the chair was 36 minutes (and a few seconds). That includes the time I took to stop and take pictures, if I hadn’t the whole process would easily have been under 30 minutes, which is pretty fantastic. By my count there are a total of 8 bolts, and 2 screws that need to be manipulated in order to assemble the chair (PLUS they included extra parts in case you lose something). The seat back and the seat take four bolts that line up fairly easily, and then there are 2 plastic trim pieces that cover up where those bolts connect the two pieces, and the 2 screws hold those trim pieces in place. The remaining four bolts were already screwed into the bottom of the seat and are taken out and then screwed back in to attach the hydraulic assembly. Then it’s a matter of pushing in the five wheels into the steel base, and setting the whole thing down into place.

Features

This thing has all the bells and whistles! Just about every point of articulation you could want is here! The armrests articulate up/down, forward/backward, twist inward/outward, and slide laterally! If you can’t find a comfortable arrangement for them, you haven’t tried! The seat back also reclines to nearly fully reclined (range of motion is 85-155 degrees), and of course the entire seat tilts back as well (which is lockable). The Championship Series chair also comes with 2 pillows: a lumbar support pillow, and a neck support pillow.

The Verdict!

I’m going to take a few different viewpoints and share some thoughts, first as a tabletop gamer, and pc/console gamer, and lastly as an office/desk chair.

Tabletop Gaming—Personally, I don’t think tabletop gaming gives enough thought to the chairs we sit on. We’re perfectly fine plopping down at the table for a 2-3 hour D&D session, or a marathon game of Twilight Imperium, while sitting on a hard, wooden dining room chair, or slightly padded folding chair, while our legs go numb. There are a few manufacturers out there who are making strides, but we have a long way to go. That being said, this chair is great. I have two different tables I game at here at the homestead, and using a top-notch chair to sit at them makes a big difference. Being able to sit at an appropriate height, and keep the armrests unobtrusively at the ready is a whole new level of tabletop gaming. My back isn’t as achy from leaning over the table and being able to sit higher really helps with sight lines on the table. I’m a bit taller than average (6’3”) so the high back on the Championship Series adds support and comfort as well!

IMG_0168.jpeg

PC/Console Gaming—This is where the articulation of the armrests really comes into play. Being able to swivel, slide, and adjust them to my body shape, arm length, etc. really makes for a comfortable gaming experience. It’s like the chair isn’t there; my arms and hands don’t feel fatigue, and I feel like I play a bit more consistently because my hand position is more consistent and supported, which relaxes my hands, which cuts down on fatigue. This is obviously what this chair is primarily designed for, and it absolutely shines!

Office/Desk Chair—If you go to E-Win’s website, the listing for this chair includes the description “office chair,” so it is certainly considered a valid replacement for your current office chair. And let’s be honest, with the current lockdown situation there are a lot of us who are either a. not working, or b. working from home, and (like me) realizing how uncomfortable your home office chair actually is. I know I’ve spent more time in my office/studio space these past 3 months! Again this is where the Championship series really shows off. Typing with armrests that give support is a real game-changer and being able to adjust the recline angle of the chair has (and this is not hyperbole) changed my life. My last three office chairs were only able to recline as a whole unit, and it was impossible to find a comfortable angle to sit and work in for any length of time. This is a strong contender to replace your current office chair, believe me!

IMG_0179.jpeg

One last thing I’d like to talk about before giving my final verdict is the quality and aesthetics of the chair. E-Win touts a brand new PU Leather, and cold cured foam construction. It. Is. Sharp! It looks great, and the stitching, the construction, and all the touches are there—the chair just feels great! The hubless casters are quiet, and smooth (I’m mostly on carpet and I can move fairly well, especially compared to my former office chairs), and they look totally rad! I have noticed that it does overall sit a bit higher than I’m used to sitting in an office chair, but I’ve adjusted to it in the office and it works just fine. The locking mechanism is also pretty sweet. Not only will it lock so you stay upright, but you can lock the tilt mechanism at any point, that’s right, I can kick back, lock it into place and not have to fight to keep it at a comfortable angle, or tip forward unexpectedly. Seriously, this chair has it all!

IMG_0183.jpeg

Final Verdict

The E-Win Championship Series chair is terrific—let’s just get that out of the way. It is not a super cushy/overstuffed chair that will whisk you away on clouds. It’s a high-performance chair. When I sit down in it I know I’m about to get stuff done. Whether I’m going to whoop my kids at Madden, delve into a dungeon on the tabletop, or produce a new episode of Cryptic Podcast, things are happening when I hop in this seat! If you’re looking to make a seating upgrade, I highly recommend checking out E-Win and their Championship Series chairs.
