The EwinRacing Flash series has everything you need in a gaming chair

A lot of players, especially ones who spend a big part of their day in front of a computer, don’t consider how little support a typical office chair has for the body. If you’re starting to feel a little ache after a long day looking at a screen hunched over in a swivel seat, it might be time to consider an upgrade

Luckily, there are all sorts of options for all sorts of body sizes and shapes, including one of the best– the EWin Racing Flash-XL Series Gaming Chair. It’s a fantastic chair with a large base, high back rest, and an assortment of adjustable features that make it as amiable as it is sturdy. It’s great for streamers, competitors, and casual players alike.

The chair, as the series name would suggest, is meant for larger users with extra space between armrests and taller-than-usual height adjustments that reach 13.4 inches off the ground. And even while it’s perfect for wider reaching players it can suit people of all sizes who want a bit of extra room, just make sure your desk is primed for an upgraded chair.

If your moving from a typical desk chair to this gaming chair the change will feel abrupt, but you’ll settle in quickly after a simple setup process with clear image-clad instruction manual. The number of versatile features including adjustable 4D armrests, 360-degree swivel, 155-degree adjustable backrest, and adjustable base height. The backrest can be layed back to enjoy a more casual experience like Firewatch while it can push your posture up for more focused, action-packed shooters like Overwatch.

It also comes with a support neck pillow and lumbar backrest, one for your lower back and one for your neck with removable straps in case you need extra support in either area. That brings up the question of the EWin Racing Flash-XL Series Gaming Chair’s overall comfortability. The answer is clear here, this chair may actually help with poor posture due to how good it feels to sit upright in, especially after aligning the backrest, height, and armrests to suit specific height and weight measurements.

The most noticeable of those features are the ‘4D’ armrests, something that isn’t as common in gaming chairs that we’ve seen before. Armrests are a constant point of frustration in a lot of chairs since they can often only move up and down, this chair allows the armrests position, angle, and height to be moved to suit the users preferences. The switches to change the position of the armrests are located on different sides of the rests and can be somewhat easy to accidentally hit but are altogether convenient.

After using the chair for a week it would be hard to recall a more comfortable gaming experience, perfect for long hours in Fortnite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, a quick session in Monster Hunter World, or anything in between.

The lumbar backrest is perfect for anyone who has lower back issues and side cushions on the chair give additional support. The chair is so versatile you’ll want to use it for most things like working through your email or having dinner. Although you won’t want to spill and mashed potatoes on this chair, it’s got too much style.

The seat is conveniently cloaked in high quality leather, with memory foam underneath it cushioning the divide between you and the strong metal frame. Now while most chairs with this much versatility may look bulky and while this gaming chair is obviously on the larger side, the combination of slick black and sharp red make it look like the prized possession of a successful streamer.

E-WIN HERO SERIES GAMING CHAIR REVIEW

Introduction

The market for high end gaming peripherals has been booming for several years now. The trend started with mechanical keyboards which provide both tactile feedback and a variety of switch types to suit different preferences. Gamers quickly grew accustomed to expecting more from their peripherals. This trend soon spread to other peripherals including mice, webcams, headsets, and even standalone mics. Even high-end monitors that offer lower latency and higher refresh rates are now common among the PC elite. While all of these peripherals stand to improve a user’s experience, gamers often neglect the one item right under their nose: their chair. A high-end gaming chair is designed with long sitting sessions in mind and stands to improve both user’s comfort and posture.

Awareness of gaming chairs has been growing, but there’s still a far higher hesitation factor involved with ordering a gaming chair than there is with other high-end purchases. High costs play a part, but the bulky nature of the product also plays a significant role. For years, the size, shipping, and assembly requirements kept me from ordering a gaming chair. The anxiety of ordering a chair without first sitting on it was also a factor. Fortunately, the folks at E-Win made the decision for me by offering one of their premium Hero Series chairs for me to test out. After using extensively for the past month, I thought I’d share my thoughts.

What’s in the Box

The EWinRacing Hero Series gaming chair comes disassembled in a hefty box, but assembly only takes 10-20 minutes. Despite its size, I found it far easier to assemble than the IKEA chair I was previously using. A clearly worded color manual makes following along during the assembly process effortless. The adjustable armrests even come pre installed on the sides of the seat. The only step that could benefit from a second pair of hands is joining the backrest with the seat portion. E-Win chairs have sturdy steel frames which makes them heftier than generic office chairs. If you’re assembling the chair alone, it may help to place the seat piece on an elevated surface like a table before joining it with the backrest. E-Win has a convenient installation guide available on YouTube which you can reference.

Adjustable Comfort

Once assembled, it become clear that the E-Win Hero series chair has a multitude of adjustment options. The pre-installed armrests can be adjusted in height which helps since I prefer them to be low enough to slide under my desk. They can also be removed entirely for those who prefer not to use armrests. The backrest can adjusted back with the help of a lever on the right of the seat. A height adjustment lever is located on the bottom right of the seat as well. Most importantly, the included head support and lower back/lumbar support cushion can be adjusted or removed entirely. The E-Win seatback is very firm, but the two cushions balance this out perfectly. Their value is especially apparent when you lean the backseat back a bit. The firm build of the chair keeps your posture healthy while the cushions offer support for the two contact points along the back of your body. When trying to find the ideal setup for yourself, I suggest moving the cushions around a bit, it took me several adjustments to get it perfectly aligned for my height and body shape.

Memory Foam For Your Butt

The seat itself is perhaps the largest improvement over standard office chairs. My E-Win Hero Series chair came just in time for the launch of the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Battle For Azeroth and I have been sitting still playing for up to 12 hours a day. My old chair required me to make several uncomfortable adjustments to give my sore butt a rest. This often twisted my back into strange poses which I would hold for minutes at a time. Now I don’t even think about my butt while sitting. The thick memory foam seat feels like a cloud, especially after your body heat warms it up a bit.

Aesthetics

My biggest reservation when it came to gaming chairs was their aesthetic. Often streamers are seen with these chairs and they can look a bit glaring, especially in an otherwise normal bedroom or living room. If you share these concerns, know that E-Win also has an all-black chair option in their ‘Champion Series’ line. But from my experience, the blue Hero Series model I received looks much better than I thought it would. The most colorful part, the backrest, is always facing the desk and so the chair’s overall presence in a room is by no means overpowering.

Overall

Priced at $359 with free shipping, the E-Win Hero series may seem expensive, but the difference in quality over standard office chairs is substantial. For value per dollar, the chair is a bargain. The metal frame and dense foam seat look like they can last a lifetime. And just as with mechanical keyboards, once you’ve used a proper chair, you’ll be wondering why you didn’t make the switch sooner. But with all that said, there are caveats. As I said earlier, the E-Win chair is quite firm. Those who realize the value of good posture will appreciate this, but some may find the firmness to be uncomfortable. The ergonomics of the chair force a healthy posture. Sitting cross legged, for example, is difficult due to the curves on the seat. Again, this can largely be seen as a positive, but is worth mentioning for full disclosure. Overall, the E-Win Hero Series receives top marks and comes highly recommended.

E-Win Racing Champion Series Gaming Chair Review

When E-Win offered to send this chair out I was skeptical because of how much I didn’t like my current (Amazon Special) gaming chair and I had never heard of them before. But before we get started into this I want to take a moment and mention that I do understand that the styling of these types of chairs is rather polarizing, people either love it or hate it, and I’m not going to try to convince you to like it if you don’t or dislike it if you do. I personally think they’re really cool for racing game fans, which I quite enjoy.

Lets first touch on assebly. The assembly process was smooth and easy with everything needed to put it together coming in the box, even a pair of grippy gloves so you can more easily handle the components. The strut and wheels pop right into the base and then attaches to the seat with 4 allen keyed screws, the back goes on in a similar fashion…that’s it. it’s that simple.

The overall build quality is solid, unlike my old chair. A stiff steel frame is hidden under their high density cold molding foam which is surprisingly comfortable even after extended screen time. The leather-like material is soft to the touch but durable enough to not get torn or worn out quickly from basic use. Butt support comes in the form of resistance straps rather than a solid bottom which makes for a much more comfortable sitting experience.

If there’s one thing I can say this chair has going for it, which is honestly shared though most other higher tier gaming chairs, is adjustability. Not just height and tilt but full 4-D adjustability on the arm rests. I never knew how much I wanted this until I had it, being able to adjust the seat to the height that I needed while keeping the arms from hitting the desk when I stand up is invaluable.

Can I take a moment to mention the wheel design? They’re corny, I get it, but they’re still corny. That aside they roll easily even in higher pile carpet like I have in my office and are still quite on solid surfaces.

All of that with the addition of the head pillow and lumbar pillow make this chair easy to fit what you want it to support and feel like, provided it’s the right one for your height and weight, and still look flashy at the same time.

After the bad experience I had with the Amazon special gaming chair I just threw out I didn’t have much in the way of expectations for this chair from another company I had never heard of, but I’m now really glad I did. If you’re in the market for a racing inspired gaming chair that isn’t asking for your life’s savings you might want to look in thier direction.  With an MSRP of $349 they’re well priced to their competitors without sacrificing at all in quality.  We did secure a discount code getting our readers 15% off if they use the code ‘WCCFTECH’ in the checkout process at https://www.ewinracing.com/.

We would love to hear your thoughts on these style of gaming office chairs down in the comment section. And while you’re down there, share with us your current chair you’re using.

For those curious the first chair next to the trash can in the video was my old chair, just because they look similar in styling doesn’t mean they came anywhere close in quality.  The $100 Amazon chair was trash fodder at best.

Total Score: 8.5

Solid chair for the money, leaves little to be desired.

EwinRacing Champion Series Gaming Chair review

As someone who plays a lot of games, being comfortable while playing is pretty important, there is nothing worse than finishing a gaming session only to feel like your back has seized up. Thankfully there are a huge amount of ergonomic gaming chairs now available to help us play comfortably.

The EWin Champion Series Gaming Chair is an excellent chair that will certainly keep me comfortable over the coming years.

Setting up the chair took about 30 minutes. If you have ever put together a piece of ikea furniture you’ll have no problems putting this together. I was impressed with how simple it was to build and thought it was a nice touch that they supplied gloves to wear to keep the all-important gaming fingers safe! You’ll also get a picture guide to show you how to put the chair together, there is no need for any extra equipment as all the Allan keys are supplied.

You’ll need to unscrew some pre-fitted screws, attach the back support to the seat, before attaching the base and wheels. There are photo instructions included so you really shouldn’t have too many problems getting set up quickly – If I had to build the chair again I reckon I could put it together in half the time. The first thing you will notice is the how good the chair looks, we were given a black/red version of the chair and although it doesn’t go with my current office setup, it will take pride of place in any gaming den for sure.

As you sit for the first time, you’ll notice straight away just how much padding there is, you’ll be sitting on 10cm of memory foam padding before easing back in to a tall back frame of 93cm. The patent fabric feels soft to the touch and is breathable, meaning you won’t get all sweaty if you are sat for long periods of time. The frame is built from steel, which will support all sorts of body sizes. A full look at the dimensions can be seen below. while

If you are not used to sitting in a more premium ergonomic chair you may find it takes time to get used to sitting slightly differently. It took me a few days to find the most comfortable set up, but once I did you begin to realise just how comfortable you can get. The Champion Series chair has many different parts that you can manipulate to ensure your comfort is at a premium, its well worth taking your time to find the perfect set up for you.

First off and probably the most obvious is the height adjustment. I spoke to the team at Ewin before getting the chair so that they could match me with a chair that was most suitable for my height (5 Foot 7). I didn’t need to raise the chair too high to make sure more feet were place correctly on the floor. To raise the chair, you’ll need to be stood up, then it’s just a case of using the lever to adjust the height you want the chair at, to lower the chair you can sit on the chair before using the lever to adjust again. The chair can support up to 150kg/330lbs.

As a type this review now, I’ve managed to set the chair up at the perfect height with the arm rest in the prefect position to type comfortably. Not only can the arm rests move vertically, but you can slide them backwards and forwards and rotate them form left to right, giving you lots of support for your wrists and shoulders. The buttons to make the adjustments are all in easy reach too. The head and back cushions come pre-fitted to the backrest of the chair, supported by elasticated straps. Because of my height I find the head support less helpful, however the lumbar support is superb. It certainly would have been better if you could lock the head support into place, as every time I sat down I felt like I needed to readjust the support.

If you work at home of spend all your time gaming in this chair there may be times where you want to chill out and this chair will definitely help with that. By just pulling a lever to your right by the bottom of your back the chair can tilt back to 155 degrees, giving you a ‘dentist chair’ style comfort (without the teeth pulling part). Personally for me tilting the chair all the way back wasn’t comfortable, I felt like I was going to tilt the chair right over, so I found myself tensing, expecting to fall out more than anything. Clearly that won’t be the case for everyone. Even though I wasn’t comfortable with the full tilt, I was very happy with the comfort levels when tilting back to watch a movie of some of the World Cup. I’ve fallen asleep in the chair more than once, which goes to show just how comfortable I got! The five star aluminium base of the chair looks like any standard office chair, but that’s offset by the brightly colour wheels, they glide along nicely, even on carpet which I was pleased with.

Any issues I’ve had with the chair have be minor ones, it’s a big chair and when my boys have gone to use it they have struggled to move it around, it also takes up a lot of space, so it’s something to be conscious of. Personally I would have liked to have seen some more colour options, maybe a white chair, with a colour offset, would have been a cool addition to the line-up.

For €349 EU / £279 UK / $349 US (there is 22.9% off at the moment) you will be getting a very well built gaming chair that is really comfortable and will take pride of place in many gaming dens and office setups. The chair looks and feels like a quality product, which is what you would expect for a chair at this price. It’s a shame I can’t use this chair everywhere really because it more comfortable than most chair I have to sit on!

EwinRacing Flash Series Gaming Chair Review

EwinRacing Flash Series Gaming Chair Review

Decades ago a gamer might be satisfied with a simple console, controller, and couch, but the needs of the modern gamer have expanded far beyond those meager accessories. Now, gamers can find accessories, add-ons, and gadgets that suit their needs and make gaming sessions more comfortable, like the EWin Flash Series gaming chair.

Plenty have probably heard and seen gaming chairs online, but they might not know what they offer beyond the basic computer chair. From a strict design perspective, the EWin Flash Series chair is extremely well made. It’s sturdy, well balanced, and it stands out in any office or gaming setup. The craftsmanship on the EWin Flash Series is impeccable, with a look that lets others know it is more than just the average computer chair.

Assembly for the EWin racing chair is straightforward and only requires a few basic steps. There were no questions once the chair was put together that it was built to hold a considerable amount of weight, and nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy.

In terms of its comfort, the EWin Flash Series is built for extended gaming sessions with minimal back strain. Its ergonomic frame ensures users are well supported and keep their posture. In fact, the EWin gaming chair is built to encourage correct posture, which is great for those gamers that have a tendency to slouch after an hour of playing.

Additionally, the Flash series racing chair comes with two adjustable support pillows for the neck and lower back area. Without these pillows, the chair would still be extremely comfortable and supportive, but with them, the Flash series fits snuggly to the contours of your body and lets you relax while gaming. And for those that don’t want to sit upright, the chair can recline to suit a more laid back position, while still giving full support.

Where the EWin Flash Series gaming chair does offer features similar to the average computer chair, it takes the basics and adds a lot more customization. The armrests, for example, have full range of motion – they can slide forward or back, rise up or down, or even flip around completely. Similarly, the seat can be raised or lowered to meet any desk or to match the gamer’s height.

Where some might balk at the $399 price tag for the EWin Flash Series gaming chair, there is no question that gamers are getting a high quality product from top to bottom. Comfort is essential when it comes to gaming chairs, and those who spend hours sitting in front of a monitor or TV will appreciate the amount of detail EWin puts into its product. Coming from someone that tends to get back pain during longer gaming sessions, the EWin racing chair is a dream to sit in and I really appreciated that it encourages proper posture.

Gaming chairs are obviously not going to be for everyone, but those that want to ensure top quality comfort (with a little style) should look into EWin’s Flash Series line.

The EwinRacing Flash Series gaming chair is available on EWin’s official site for $399. Game Rant was provided a sample chair for the purposes of this review.

EWin Racing Calling Series Chair

There are many gaming chairs on the market and I work with a lot of folks that have purchased one recently. Being an active gamer myself, I want to be comfortable for hours-long sessions, so spending a good amount on a solid gaming chair is a pretty good investment.

I was surprised at the prices EWin is selling this Racing gaming chair. Compared to some of their competitors, the prices are really competitive. So, do they stand up to the more expensive offerings?

Ewin sent me a Calling series chair in red and black. The chair came in a setup that was easy to put together. In fact, the instructions included directions that didn’t need to be followed because some steps were already done.

Putting the chair together took about 20 minutes. First I connected the back, which already had the lumbar support and head pillow attached, to the seat with two bolts on each side. After attaching the side panels to hide the bolts, I screwed in the base that held the height adjustment and leaning tension dial. Putting in the wheels on the five star base, the hydraulic piston was put into place and then the seat on top. That was pretty much it. Pretty simple, I must say.

Covered in bicast leather or polyurethane, the Calling Series has a nice soft leather feel to it, but can get a little warm when sitting for a while. I put the chair in my basement office, which is cool throughout the year, so I didn’t feel it as much. But after about 20 minutes, the seat did seem to retain some heat. It is reminiscent of my memory foam mattress, but it really didn’t bother me too much sitting in it for long periods. Just know you’ll probably feel the warmth if you pay close attention.

The seat is built on a steel frame so it’s made to take a lot of weight and punishment. On top of the frame is a very solid high-density foam that’s not too firm. The side of the seat area flows up so it feels like it’s hugging your legs. The same concave shape applies to the back of the seat as well. As the name implies, the shape is modeled after car racing seats.

Each arm of the Calling series has vertically adjustable armrests. Just hold down a button and you can slide it up and down. The top is concave as well, so it fits your arms nicely when you rest on them. I do wish they were padded though.

The back of the chair can tilt from 85 to 155 degrees and anything in between. There’s a very nice strong spring loaded handle that will unlock the chair to tilt when you pull it up. At its most extreme position, you are almost laying flat, so if you feel like taking a nap in the chair, feel free to lean it all the way back and snooze away.

There are two pillows in the back to aid in comfort. One is the lumbar support and it’s held on by two straps. This allows you the ability to move it up and down so you can position it wherever is most comfortable. I really like this compared to my office chair with its static lumbar support as some days I like it a little higher or lower. With the EWin Racing Calling chair, I can adjust it to my preference just by sliding it up or down by hand. It does a good job staying in place and once you lean back, it really doesn’t go anywhere from the pressure of your body weight.

At the top of the back is a pillow for your head. With the chair at close to 90 degrees, I was able to rest the base of my head on the pillow where it provided some great support. I have never had a chair with a neck pillow and now I see why it’s really nice to have one. The neck pillow on the Calling seat can adjust slightly up and down as it is also attached with a strap. If you don’t want to use it, just take it off by unclipping it. It’s that simple.

Height adjustment is done like most other chairs as you pull a level up, allowing you to adjust the gas lift piston. Oh, that piston is rated for 330 lbs., so the chair can support a good deal of weight. I’ve seen a few chairs support in the 200 lb. range, so it’s nice to see the Ewin Racing use a piston that’s rated for more support.

The base features a five-star caster arrangement that’s pretty normal for most chairs. Each wheel looks like a small racing wheel with its hubcap light design, which is a nice little touch. They roll pretty smoothly and rotate without any issue.

I’m 5’7″ and weigh about 165 lbs., just to give you a frame of reference. So how does the EWin Calling gaming chair compare to my nice office chair I bought a few months ago? Let’s just say I’ve given up sitting in that one and am now using the EWin chair as my primary seat of choice. Sitting in it for some long gaming sessions, I never felt fatigued or uncomfortable, with the lumbar support making sure I set up straight and the neck pillow giving me a good support for my head. I liked how the seat felt with semi-firm foam underneath me. It really is a fine chair to sit in for gaming or working.

You can grab the EWin Racing Calling Series chair for $259 and you can purchase them from their website which features more in their line of office gaming chairs. The price really sets this chair apart as well, as you get a lot that costs less than the competition. And to make it even more attractive, use the code NEXUS and you’ll get an additional 10% off. While I didn’t really know much about the EWin Racing chair before, I’m impressed with what they sent and would recommend them as a brand to look out for if you are searching for a good gaming chair.

It’s a solidly built chair at a good price. While light on features, the price makes it a good buy and it’s very comfortable.

Rating: 8.5 Very Good

EWIN Flash XL Series Ergonomic Gaming Chair REVIEW

Don’t settle for subpar seating

As someone who sits at an office desk all day long and sometimes night long, I know the importance of using a good chair. Sitting in subpar chairs can really tear your back up once you pull yourself away from your game or work. With that said, about two months ago, I started having some terrible problems with my back. I’m still not sure why there was a sudden onset of problems but suddenly – there it was — a horrible tightness in the middle of my back. It seemed as though no matter how I sat or moved around, I couldn’t get comfortable.

A few years ago, I had invested in an ergonomic chair that I thought might last me for many years to come. As it turns out, the chair was exacerbating the back problem I now have. I’m not sure that it was the cause, but it wasn’t helping. That’s when I started looking into a new office solution for my aching back. I decided that looking closely at the gaming chair options that are available would be a good plan since they are made for long-term use. That’s when I found the Flash XL Gaming Chair from EWIN and I fell in love.

EWIN Flash XL Series Ergonomic Gaming Chair REVIEW

Details

The Flash XL Gaming Chair has some great features to it. For starters, it’s built on a durable steel frame and is supported by a 120MM Class-4 Gas Lift as well as a metal 5-star wheelbase. The cushioning is made from cold molding foam (high-density memory foam). With it being an ‘XL’ size chair, it can support up to 330 pounds from its users. When you sit in it you feel the difference, between the high-quality foam and lesser quality chair stuffing.

The Flash XL Gaming Chair has a lot of adjustments available that make it possible for you to have the just right feeling for your needs.

4D Adjustable Armrests

  • Surface covered with polyurethane for durability and comfort
  • Front/Back/Left/Right sliding functions
  • Clockwise/Counterclockwise rotations
  • Vertical Adjustments

EWIN Flash XL Series Ergonomic Gaming Chair REVIEW

User Experience

When I first received my chair I was bouncing off the wall to get it set up.  The chair arrived in a very large box with the pieces of the chair individually wrapped up and packaged carefully so as not to damage them. There were major pieces of the chair pre-assembled, but the back and seat needed to be attached and then mounted to the wheeled base. All in all, assembly only took about 30 minutes. You are provided all the necessary tools for assembly and it comes together quite easily. I was a little concerned when I found a tear in the side of the back, but as it turns out, that was an opening for a structural screw to go into from the side bracket.

Once the chair is assembled, it’s ready to use. There are no complicated instructions or special needs for the chair operation. You have the option to recline or move the armrests around as you like – they are fully articulating. The seat cushion is firm but very comfortable. The pillows are supportive and make a real difference if you are sitting for long periods of time. I have been very impressed by the wheels. I know that sounds a little odd given the fact that it’s a gaming chair, but usually, the first things that break on me are the wheels of a chair. They are large, wide and roll around effortlessly on the carpet.

I was met with a bit of a disappointment after getting my chair assembled due to one of the arms weld snapping off. The arm had basically fallen off. This was a big let down but as is the case with any product, you will find that not everything will be perfect. I reached out to EWIN support and they apologized for the unfortunate defect in the arm weld and offered to send out a brand new arm. They promptly sent a replacement and three days later, I had a new arm in-hand and my chair was as good as new.

The XL size chair is made for taller people and can hold more weight than the average gaming chair. The chair has a variety of adjustments that can suit even the pickiest person – like me. The included pillows lumbar and head you would think that they might be a gimmick but I assure you they are not. I use these pillows to adjust myself in so many ways.
